What a great story!

There are currently more than 40 BPS students playing lacrosse for the Eagles across the U8/U11/U13/U15 and U17 age groups

It's a little known fact that more BPS students (playing for the Eagles) have represented their state/country than in any other sport, with at least 8 players pulling on the Aussie jersey over the years.

Thanks so much to Luke Oswald, Matilda Comley, Patrick Kelly and the school itself for helping create such a successful program.

The Premier this morning announced that a return to sport training will be effective from tomorrow, Wednesday 28 July 2021, with a return to competition from next weekend.

We await the release of the Directions (likely not to be until late this evening) for further detail as to when exactly next weekend competition can resume, and what additional requirements may be in place.

Players are encouraged to use the get in get out approach and not spend additional time at the club where possible.

Density limit of 1 person per 4 sqm
Masks required for:
- High-risk settings, health care services, personal care services and on passenger transport services
- Masks are strongly recommended in all other indoor places, such as clubrooms, office spaces etc where social distancing is difficult

On-site purchase and consumption of food and beverages is permitted at a place if:

Food and beverages are only consumed by patrons at an indoor place while seated, and if seated at a table or a bar, there is no food preparation conducted at or adjacent to patrons at a bar area.

Food and beverages are only consumed by patrons while seated at a recreational facility (e.g. mini golf, pool tables, tenpin bowling) if shared equipment (such as golf clubs, pool cues or bowling balls) and frequently touched surfaces are cleaned between use by different individuals or groups.

There are no communal food or beverage service areas.
Snack or hand held food or alcoholic beverages can be consumed standing outdoors while attending sport, fitness or recreation activities.

QR CODES FOR CONTACT TRACING
All businesses or organisations with a COVID Safe Plan are still required to display a COVID SAfe Check-In QR Code, and also provide an alternate paper record sheet, for contact tracing records.

Where there are multiple user groups at the one venue e.g. a recreation centre, it is the responsibility of the owner of the venue or the person with care, control and management of the venue to enable the contract tracing process to take place.

COVID MARSHALS
COVID Marshals are still required for all prescribed operations including sporting clubs, gyms and fitness centres and swimming pools used by the public.

We know that schedules have been affected with the loss of rounds, the office is working hard to adjust schedules and we ask everyone involved to be flexible with any changes that may occur in the last few minor rounds.

Hi all

After a massive effort by the committee over the past month the season is finally here!

I’d like to thank the committee for their efforts in getting us to this point and all the parents for their help too.

And lastly I’d also like to thank all of the coaches, umpires and team managers who have stepped up.

We have a full roster of games at the club tomorrow with things kicking off at 8.30am with our U15 boys. This is particularly exciting as it is the first time in 5 years we have a standalone Eagles team!

Please note, due to Covid 19 restrictions there can be limited spectators attending.

We’re also still working through logistics around the serving of food and drinks, so for this week the canteen won’t be open.

Go Eagles!
