Leaking is common but don’t let that hold you back from exercising.

Seek the help you need to understand:
➡️it’s common but not normal
➡️there are plenty of things you CAN do movement wise if you experience pelvic floor dysfunction
➡️treating the cause/s can help you get back to doing what you ❤️ which may include training at higher intensities

If you want to work with a trainer that understands pelvic floor function, what could be contributing to your symptoms and helping you get the assistance you need to exercise symptom free, get in touch.

Here’s a way you can work your core in Reformer Pilates and most likely target the deep core muscles like your pelvic floor and TA.

I have give an example of a basic exercise and shown the progressions, so you can progress or regress as needed.

Muscle is life.

You need muscle to be strong.

You need strength to be independent.

Muscle is our greatest metabolic sink.

Exercise that makes us stronger prevents injury and pain.

So why are you still RESISTING exercise that builds muscle, keeps you stronger and independent, prevents injury and helps keep you pain free? 🧐🤷‍♀️

Many girls drop out of sport in their teenage years. Be the REASON, they keep going.

Playing sport has many benefits and supportive parents who focus on the REASONS why their daughter should keep playing can help keep their daughter in the game.

Yes, they might not their uniform, some of their teammates, their coach but try to explain to her that in real life, when you go into the workforce, you may not like your boss, some of your colleagues and might hate the uniform you wear.

When your daughter hits the middle years of high school, she is at the most vulnerable age of dropping out.

Don’t focus on winning, especially if her team isn’t performing well.

Keep encouraging her on her efforts, her development and her progress.

And if she does drop out, make sure you encourage her to stay ACTIVE.

Partners of MOTHERS, I’m talking to you 🫵

You need to LIFT your game and provide her with the support necessary so she can be active.

For her mental and physical wellbeing.

Everyone in your family WINS when she is able to exercise with your support.

And if you are a mum without a partner or family support, find yourself a community that can help you be active.

Maybe that means finding an activity that is child friendly so you can bring your young child/children along.

Maybe it’s just women like you, that understand the demands of motherhood and provide the care and support you need.

There are lots of barriers to why FEMALES won’t lift weights.

But if those barriers don’t apply to you, then go out and find a class or a gym or a PT that will help you start lifting for LIFE.

Energy levels will wane especially if you are a busy mum and have the weight (pun intended) of the world on your shoulders.

Lower energy ➡️ adapt your training session but where possible still LIFT.

Trust me, your 80 year old self will thank you for it!

And if you have trepidation about lifting weights, I am here to help.

I help women everyday start and stay lifting.

- If you want to work with a trainer that is experienced and knowledgeable in women’s health issues, and can support you during pregnancy, look no further.

It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to train Rose during her pregnancy and give her the support and care that she needed.
I trained Rose up until her 2nd last week of pregnancy and worked in conjunction with her pelvic floor physio to train her in the best way she needed.

Rose experienced little to no back pain during pregnancy, a common complaint of pregnant women because she was very active and we gave her exercises to ensure she was strong to deal with the postural changes that happen during pregnancy.

I wanted to ensure she was strong 💪 to deal with all the lifting that happens once baby arrives.

Thank you Rose for your kind words. Helping women in this way is why I love my job so much 🥰.
