The OLD WAY vs The NEW WAY of Bodybuilding
In the past, bodybuilding was all about "junk volume training".
What does that mean? Well, it meant doing tons and tons of exercises, sets, and reps, even if they weren't necessarily effective.
The idea was that more was better, but we now know that's not always the case.
One famous example of this was Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was known for his incredibly long training sessions, sometimes lasting for hours and hours.
But here's the thing: he was able to train that way because he was taking a lot of steroids.
Most of us don't have that luxury (or want to go down that path), so we need to be smarter with our workouts.
Nowadays, the new way of bodybuilding is all about doing only what is effective and doing it as efficiently as possible.
That means focusing on exercises that give you the most bang for your buck, and not wasting time on ones that don't.
It's about quality over quantity.
So, if you're just starting out on your fitness journey, don't get overwhelmed by all the different exercises and routines out there.
Keep it simple, and focus on the basics. And remember, less can sometimes be more! Happy lifting! 💪🏋️♀️🏋️♂️
