We are incredibly proud our former rider Alex Bogna is turning pro in 2022 with Alpecin-Fenix Cycling Team!

Our team was created as a development program, founded on the concept of holistic development for young Australian cyclists, and building the foundations for the next step in the athlete’s career progressing to Pro-Continental or Pro Tour contract. Today we have achieved this with one of our riders.

Congratulations to our founder
Darren Covington and the rest of the team

Blink twice and you’ll miss 🚴🏼‍♂️. Unfortunately the guys couldn’t make it to ; however, the Queenslander, Duncan Allen, made a 🔥 appearance - pulling off 2nd in the div 2 Crit. After suffering a knee injury and taking some time off the bike, he is showing some good form 💪🏻. 📸

Harrison and Dan stepped up for the team at the Bendigo Club Tour over the long weekend and despite smaller numbers due to covid restrictions, the racing still provided quality.

Stage 1 saw a relatively flat day with wind keeping things interesting, both guys were aggressive early and tried to make the most of the smaller distances but to no prevail. Both finishing mid pack in the bunch sprint

Hill climb for stage 2 and they boys felt a bit disappointed with the results on paper but were happy with the feeling during the effort. Dan 6th and Harrison 20th.

A hilly road stage after the hill climb would test the legs and shape of our guys but they pulled through strong and Harrison sacrificing his race with a stellar lead out into the bottom of the final climb to set up Dan who made over with the front bunch however it came back together for another mass sprint.

Wapping up the tour was a 60km kermese where the guys again were aggressive and being the final stage, left it all on the road. The bunch wasn't letting anything up the road and therefore came to a sprint where Dan snagged a 5th.

Overall GC concluded seeing Dan 7th and Harrison 18th. Nice job boys! Great preparation for the next NRS In Brisbane next month.
