An excellent night of singles tennis in the PLTC championships to round out the season. Good numbers and perfect weather saw some close matches throughout the evening. The eventual results were : A grade Men’s winner Dan Polkinghorne, runner up Damian Kielbaska. A grade Ladies winner Nyla Conheady, runner up Ash Ludeman. A res men’s winner Tim Bourke, runner up Preet Patel. B grade winner Natasha Angeleski, runner up Maree Thompson. Congratulations to the winners and to all PLTC players throughout the season. Remember to keep an eye out for some info about casual hits over winter and we will look forward to a bigger and better season starting again in October 👍🎾

🚨 We Need Your Help – Let’s Bring Our Tennis Courts Back to Life! 🎾🌱

Hello everyone,

Our lawn tennis courts are in desperate need of some TLC, and we’re calling on our amazing community to help us restore it to its former glory.

Cam, Ian and I met today and plugged some grass into some dirt patches for a trail run.

We have a 6-week window to improve the surface by transplanting grass — and the more hands we have, the more ground we can cover.

Every bit of help counts.

We are in the midst of replacing our sprinkler system for a more even water coverage this along with some delicate grass attention we will be on our way.

Imagine stepping onto a lush, even playing surface next season — a court we can all be proud of.
With your support, we can make that happen.

💪 What we need: Volunteers to come for 1 hour . Meet a couple of times a week over the next few weeks

🌱 What we’re doing: Transplanting grass and removing undesirable grass.

⏳ Timeline: ~ 4 weeks

🎯 Goal: A top-quality playing surface ready for next season

Let’s come together, get our hands a little dirty, and create something fantastic for everyone to enjoy.

Just a reminder that players need to have played 3 games in a team to qualify for finals and be registered.

I’m sure its going to be some great tennis Tuesday and we hope the whole club comes down to support the teams playing and enjoy a social drink at the club rooms to celebrate a great season.

Finger food supplied by club.

We will have the ball machine out and your welcome to have a hit on the spare courts.

Its been a great season with a few Twists along the way.

We managed to only have two forfeits for the season.

Big thankyou to all the support of fill-ins who often jumped in at the last minute.

A big ThankYou to Rob and Pete who have manned the Bar and BBQ this season.
