Flying Brick Bellarine Sunset Run The Flying Brick Bellarine Sunset Run is a must do event with a highly accessible light trail course. Backup date: Sunday 11th February 2024

On Saturday February 10th 2024, the Flying Brick Bellarine Sunset Run is celebrating the 9th edition of our light coastal trail event between Portarlington and St Leonards. We believe and thousands would agree we've found the perfect way to spend a summer's weekend and Saturday evening as we combine some of life's loves. Many families and friends will once again venture to the Bellarine Peninsula

to spend a weekend running, eating, drinking, smiling, and laughing with friends and loved ones. Our local family-organised event is proud to complement the Active Feet Half Marathon and Port Phillip Ferries 10 km with the Bully Buster 4 km where we raise awareness and shine a light on the benefits of the link between exercise and kids' mental health.

At the Bully Buster, we are all about kids being active and having the access and opportunity to play sport. It can play an important role in their little worlds, but it is even more important to remember to let the kids be kids.

We all see poor behaviour by coaches, parents and supporters, don't walk past it approach your clubs or associations well being officers and report it.

It can be easily classified as bullying, people tend to ignore coaches because the kid is "winning", "playing a high grade" or part of some "elite pathway".

A special thanks to Chris Bell & David Cassar who sacrificed their own half marathon times back in Feb to look after a fellow runner, sticking with her for up to 30 mins while she was waiting to be picked up after being unable to finish due to complications.

This legend Lisa (below) along with some special teachers from Portarlington Primary School organise their school leaders to come out and hand out the medals every year. The irony is some of the kids weren't born in 2016 when we started this tradition.
