Team Risky comes to grief at turn 1 lap 2. Pilot Mark and navigator Laura were ejected from the boat but are all ok.

Just an update,

We would like to say a big Thank you to everyone who was involved in retrieving us from the water after we had a little bit of an episode in Sundays race.

A extra special thanks to the dive crew and rescue teams that took such good care of us!!

A big thanks to Josh Bossong who also jumped in the water in the saving of Risky, thank you to Dennis Samuelson, David McNaughton, Andrew Wray, Dave Perkins, our parents/families and the whole Offshore powerboat family that have called and text to touch base and make sure we are both okay!

We are 💯 Okay, a little sore and bruised but with abit of work..
Risky and us will be back to race another day 🚤❤️

Unfortunately ‘Risky’ won’t be racing at Wyndham this year (fingers crossed we are back for Geelong) but there will still be some awesome boats and racing happening, with ‘Slick’ back in the water after a few years and racers travelling all the way from Townsville, we are excited to support and cheer everyone on!
Get down to the harbour for a great weekend 🚤

The 2023 Offshore Superboat Championship kicks off Round 1 THIS WEEKEND February 25 - 26.
Followed by Corio Bay Geelong 18-19 March, Hervey Bay QLD 24-25 June and Lake Macquarie 14-15 October.

Spectators are FREE. There are great vantage points from the shore. Come see these awesome power craft and watch the teams compete across multiple events and racing classes over 2 days of exciting competition. Lots of activities for the kids.

Thank you to the EGPBC, Paynesville Gold Cup and everyone involved, we had a great weekend away, amazing racing by everyone, we had no wins but we won in other ways, mark froze on a rescue JetSki all Sunday lol but had a blast and I .. well I managed to get myself a seat in the start boat doing the White flag 🏳 amazing experience and what a rush, I had more nerves doing that than actually racing 😆 so much pressure lol
A few motor issues to fix and abit of off season TLC and we can’t wait for the offshore season to start next year!
