Port Victoria Golf Club – Saturday 20th June 2026
Captains Trophy – Stableford Competition
What a day it was at Port Victoria Golf Club on Saturday, with a wonderful turnout of golfers taking to the fairways for the Captains Trophy Stableford event. It was terrific to see such great numbers out on the course, and with record June rainfall having transformed the layout, the course was looking as green and as lush as anyone can remember – a real treat for all who played.
The Results 1st Place – "Big Bad Bustling Bill Williams" – 35 Points
It was well and truly Bill Williams' day out. Not content with simply taking the top spot on the leaderboard with a commanding 35 Stableford points, Bill also claimed the nearest-the-pin prizes on both the 10th and 17th holes – a brilliant trifecta. For his outstanding efforts, Bill takes home a Dinner Voucher generously provided by our club Captain, Mick Crkovnik. A well-deserved reward for a dominant performance!
2nd Place – Kingsley Fullarton – 34 Points
The ever-reliable Kingsley Fullarton posted a very creditable 34 points to secure second place. Kingsley heads home with a lovely bottle of 2021 Halcyon Shiraz to enjoy – no doubt well-earned after another solid round.
A big thank you to our Captain and Halcyon Wines for sponsoring the day and making the day such a special occasion for Bill!!!!. With the course in such stunning condition thanks to the tireless work on the mower by Paul Schulz and team, it was a privilege to play Port Victoria in such great shape....⛳️

Hi all an important notice from the Committee...There will no Longer be Competition golf Wednesday until further notice instead it will be Tuesday Competition golf instead...There has been a rapid growth of grass and weeds this year and we believe one day makes a difference in regards to mowing and have less chance of losing balls...We Look forward to seeing you on Tuesday's we hope this does not inconvenience members...Cheers Port Victoria Golf club....

What a fantastic turnout for our Ambrose golf event, with an even bigger crowd for the fantastic steak and schnitzel dinner cooked by our wonderful volunteers!

Port Victoria Golf Club’s Long Weekend Ambrose on Saturday, 6 June produced a fine day of golf, with once again the McInerney boys from Maitland, Mitchell and Cooper, featuring on the winners dais along with Josh Heddle and Tim Sly — taking first place, on a countback with a net 55.5. The runners-up were the team of Wayne Stentiford, Luke Stentiford, Kingsley Fullarton and Geoff Sulley. The nearest the pin awards went to Wayne Stentiford on the 1st, Geoff Sulley on the 6th, James Wilksch on the 10th whilst young Oscar Schultz took out the longest putt on the 18th.
The day was rounded out by a packed clubhouse with a lively long-weekend atmosphere enjoying the Club Tea of succulent Black Angus steaks and schnitzels prepared by Vere and his amazing catering team, topping off a great day all round.
