Beachhouse Bungalow – is a private coastal retreat situated on some 4,700 sq metres of land with its own private tidal beach as well as direct access onto the main Port Sorell beach overlooking the Rubicon River and Narawntapu National Park. Less than 200m to the boat ramp to enjoy boating, fishing, water-skiing or a short stroll to cafés, village shops, golf course, Shearwater Country Club, Lawn Bowls, Tennis Courts and Panatana Rivulet. Located on East Esplanade there is a flat walking, running, cycling track passing the door which follows the coastline and links the beachside suburbs of Port Sorell, Shearwater & Hawley Beach.
The house has been redecorated with all new furniture and equipment with a beachside theme, perfect for holidaying all year round. A walk along the beach on sunset can be followed by an alfresco BBQ on the large private entertaining deck or a romantic cosy night in by the wood heater.
Inside – board games and puzzles will keep all amused. The house is equipped with TV, DVD / CD Player, Washing Machine, Clothes Dryer, Ironing facilities etc. The Kitchen is well equipped for the budding chefs and linen is provided for the guests booked. When the service providers work out where their services are located – the property will have free internet (fingers crossed it will happen in 2018) !
A number of sleeping configurations are available depending on your requirements. Both bedrooms are located on the second story. The main bedroom consists of a king bed leading onto your own private balcony. A second bedroom can be made available as required – and comprises a further two single beds. Two separate fold out double sofer beds are also available for larger families or groups as required (Please ensure you book the configuration to suit your needs).
Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend away with your partner or sharing a fantastic family holiday experience – this beachside house is perfect for all occasions.
In addition to enjoying what Port Sorell has to offer, this property also provides a perfect base for exploring the North and Northwest Coast of Tasmania, some of the most productive farming land throughout Australia. Around a 20 minute drive will have you to Vineyards, Anvers Chocolate Factory, Spirit of Tasmania Ferry Terminal, Airport, Latrobe, Devonport City or Narwntapu National Park. Around a one hour drive + or - could take you to Ashgrove Cheese Factory, Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm the cities of Burnie or Launceston, the country towns of Sheffield (the town of Murals), Deloraine, Westbury, Lake Barrington or push onto Cradle Mountain, Dove Lake or the Great Lakes or Northeast to Ben Lomond National Park. Further afield there is the mining town of Queenstown to explore and the tourist destination of Strahan situated on McQuarrie Harbour on the West Coast.
