2025 WA DIRT KART STATE TITLES

Chad has made the long trip West to Busselton Dirt Kart Club to compete in the State Title this weekend representing Port Pirie Go Kart Club.

With some strong fields here’s hoping to some results out of the Lightning Karts KT Heavy and 200 Open entries.

200cc MORGAN MADNESS 2025

Last weekend Ryan and Chad, after considerable time in the shed (Chad, not Ryan) decided to throw both the and #13 twin-engine karts on the back of the ute for a quick trip across to MDKC.

It was a wild new format with a bunch of prizes up for grabs.

Against a talented field of 17 entrants they were both lucky enough to stay competitive and relatively consistent all day/ night, scoring enough points to land them in the Top 8 for the Dash after 4 Heats.

The Top 8 drivers participated in a pill draw for their starting positions. Ryan and Chad drew 5th and 2nd respectively out of the hat. With $1000 up for grabs it was a hotly contested 8 lap sprint.
Unfortunately Ryan got hooked up on another kart after making it up to 3rd on the first lap and then dropped back to finish 6th; whilst Chad took the hole shot and lead the entire race up until the final corner when he was contacted by another driver and collected a DNF.

Not to be disheartened, after a revision and amendment of the final points after 4 Heats - Ryan and Chad started 7th and 3rd in the main event, a 10 lap Winner Take All Feature race.
With it all to play for, Chad fought until the chequered to finish 2nd and Ryan managed to bring home 4th.

Both karts were as per usual lightning fast for the whole campaign thanks to Lightning Karts.

Morgan Dirt Kart Club Inc and LJ did a fantastic job to offer and run this spectacle even when dealing with a difficult scenario at the end. The track was brilliant especially after Heat 1, it's not easy to provide such a raceable surface with these machines ripping it up lap after lap. We will certainly be back.

Unfortunately we didn’t quite get the win finishing second overall up here in NT in the 125 class for the 3rd consecutive year!
2 x DNF in the 200 had us out of contention but the thing was a rocket ship this weekend 🚀
Some hard luck in the heats made it difficult but we had plenty of pace in both classes. Thanks to all those who supported us and got us here.

Final results:
125m: p1-p4
Finished 2nd on points.
200 open: p7 - P2
Finished 6th on points.

Our first hit out for the year at Yorke Peninsula Dirt Kart Club saw Chad Rodda compete in the 125M class.

Heat 1 : 4th-1st.
Heat 2: 1st-1st.
Heat 3: 3rd-2nd.
Heat 4: 2nd-1st.
Final: 1st-1st 🥇.

Thanks to Whyalla Mini Bins for the transport, fuel, tools, the support and the drive of the 200 in the last 2 races! 🔥

WA titles for 2024 has been run and won and it just wasn’t our weekend. 3 DNF’s in the 200 with black flags and a blown engine. The 125 Medium we struggled to get a clean run in the heats, started 8th in the final and finish P7. We had plenty of pace and will see everyone in 2025! 🏁🍻
