State Titles 2024 (19th-20th October)

Congratulations Angas Wilton winning a State Title for the second year in a row! started by winning his semi final on the Saturday to progress to the final on the Sunday where he edged the win to claim the championship medal! Excellent achievement for all his hard work and commitment put in this year! 🥇 (check the front page of this weeks recorder for the story)

Along Angas, Isaiah and Ethan both competing at the State Titles.
Ethan had a good battle but unfortunately his opponent just edged the win.
Isaiah’s fight was unfortunately cut short due to injury and was unable to continue. We hope to see him back in action soon!

This weekend we travel to Whyalla with Angas on the card for the final completion of the year.

Over the weekend we had 3 lads compete in the Australian Club Championships held in Adelaide over 3 days.

Ethan was first to fight on the Friday and was straight into a final where he unfortunately fell short of the win.

Angas only had 1 other in his division so it was straight to the final against an opponent from the NT, with a dominating performance he got the win and won the gold for his division.

Izzy went up a weight category to fight in the 67kg division due to no match ups in his current weight class, due to opponents pulling out he went straight through to the final where he outclassed his opponent winning the gold for that division.

All in all, a great success for the gym coming home with a couple of champions but most importantly the boxers getting in the ring and gaining more experience to keep progressing their boxing for future tournaments.
