❤️Movement with intention - assisting my own right hip and its weakness.
A sore or weakened right hip may be explored as an invitation to reflect on:
* Moving forward — Is there something you’re ready to move towards, but perhaps feeling hesitant about?
* Taking action — The right side is often associated symbolically with doing, giving and outward energy.
* Support and stability — The hips represent our foundation and ability to feel supported as we move through life.
* Holding back — Sometimes hip tension is interpreted as holding onto something, or feeling unable to fully release and move on.
* Control vs. trust — A hip that feels guarded may invite reflection around where you’re trying to control an outcome rather than trusting your next step.
* Personal power — The pelvis and hips are often connected symbolically with the sacral chakra, relating to creativity, pleasure, emotional flow and allowing life to move through us.
From a somatic perspective it can be helpful to ask:
“What does my body feel it needs more of right now — support, freedom, safety, movement, trust or release?”
And perhaps, for my right hip specifically:
“Where in my life am I being asked to move forward, but need to feel more supported before I take the next step?” 🌿✨
Note - These are reflective/spiritual experiences rather than medically established causes of hip pain.
🙌🏻Now on a physical level, I’m using Pilates leg straps to gently explore hip mobility, while also rebuilding strength and stability in my right hip.
I know I favour my right hip often and it’s always been an area that needs a little more attention. Spirituality hips are about feeling grounded and supported.
The support of the straps allows me to move with control and ease. For me, it’s not about pushing further — it’s about moving with awareness, building trust and allowing strength to return, one movement at a time. ✨
Where in your body to you feel the same chronic pain and do you ask the body some questions??
Be curious about your pain - 🤔Maybe a little Reiki or energy cleansing together with Pilates ?
Reach out to try it xx
