❤️Movement with intention - assisting my own right hip and its weakness.

A sore or weakened right hip may be explored as an invitation to reflect on:

* Moving forward — Is there something you’re ready to move towards, but perhaps feeling hesitant about?

* Taking action — The right side is often associated symbolically with doing, giving and outward energy.

* Support and stability — The hips represent our foundation and ability to feel supported as we move through life.

* Holding back — Sometimes hip tension is interpreted as holding onto something, or feeling unable to fully release and move on.

* Control vs. trust — A hip that feels guarded may invite reflection around where you’re trying to control an outcome rather than trusting your next step.

* Personal power — The pelvis and hips are often connected symbolically with the sacral chakra, relating to creativity, pleasure, emotional flow and allowing life to move through us.

From a somatic perspective it can be helpful to ask:

“What does my body feel it needs more of right now — support, freedom, safety, movement, trust or release?”

And perhaps, for my right hip specifically:

“Where in my life am I being asked to move forward, but need to feel more supported before I take the next step?” 🌿✨

Note - These are reflective/spiritual experiences rather than medically established causes of hip pain.

🙌🏻Now on a physical level, I’m using Pilates leg straps to gently explore hip mobility, while also rebuilding strength and stability in my right hip.

I know I favour my right hip often and it’s always been an area that needs a little more attention. Spirituality hips are about feeling grounded and supported.

The support of the straps allows me to move with control and ease. For me, it’s not about pushing further — it’s about moving with awareness, building trust and allowing strength to return, one movement at a time. ✨

Where in your body to you feel the same chronic pain and do you ask the body some questions??

Be curious about your pain - 🤔Maybe a little Reiki or energy cleansing together with Pilates ?

Reach out to try it xx

✨ Pilates, family & a beautiful pregnancy journey together ✨

There’s something so special about watching Pilates become part of a family’s journey. 🤍

Dad Thomas has been with me for almost 10 years, and now it’s so beautiful to see the whole family enjoying the Pilates experience together.

With a beautiful little arrival coming in January 2027, Mum Niicha is now 18 weeks pregnant and doing wonderfully. 🤰✨

Pilates is such a beautiful way to support the body through pregnancy — building strength, mobility, balance and awareness, while connecting movement with breath.

And now, as they prepare to welcome their newest little family member, they’re all embracing movement and wellness together — nurturing mind, body and spirit.

I feel so grateful to be part of their journey for almost a decade, and even more grateful to now share this special chapter with them. 🫶

Here’s to family, connection, movement, and a beautiful new beginning. ✨

👶🏻Can’t wait to meet the new addition to the family in January 2027 xx

✨ Pilates for the body, breath & soul ✨

Pilates, for me, is so much more than working with the physical body.

It’s about the connection between body, breath, mind and spirit. 🌿

When I move with my breath, something shifts. I feel myself grounding, centring and coming back into my own energy.

It creates a beautiful stillness within the movement — a moment to slow down, listen inwardly and reconnect with myself.

This practice has become such an important part of me and my routine. I don’t usually have a plan or program, I move in ways my body speaks to me. Today it was about opening up the hips and some extension & spinal articulation 😘.

It brings balance to my body and my energy, preparing me to step into my day and teach from a place of calm, presence and connection.

🙌🏻Because movement can be medicine for the soul too. ✨

It doesn’t have to be about pushing harder or doing more.

Sometimes it’s simply about breathing, moving gently and coming home to yourself.

If you’re feeling called to reconnect with your body, your breath and your spirit, I’d love to share this beautiful space with you.

🤍 Bookings are available in Port Melbourne.
Reach out and experience your own total body connection.

☀️Move gently. Breathe deeply. Come home to yourself. 🌿✨

🙌🏻Thread the Needle is a lovely Pilates mobility exercise, particularly for the upper back, shoulders and ribcage.

This exercise can be performed on the floor or on the Reformer.

🌿 Benefits of Thread the Needle

* Improves thoracic spine mobility – encourages gentle rotation through the mid/upper back rather than relying on the lower back.

* Releases shoulder tension – helps mobilise the shoulder and upper back muscles.

* Improves ribcage movement – the rotation combined with breathing can encourage expansion and mobility around the ribs.

* Stretches the upper back – particularly the muscles around the shoulder blade and posterior shoulder.

* Encourages spinal awareness – helps you feel where rotation is occurring and practise controlled movement.

* Supports better posture – improved thoracic mobility can make it easier to sit and stand with a more comfortable upright position.

* Coordinates movement with breath – inhaling to open and exhaling as you thread the arm through can make the movement slower and more mindful.

* Can feel calming – the combination of gentle rotation, breathing and controlled movement can be a nice nervous-system reset.

A Pilates cue I particularly like
“Keep the hips relatively still and let the rotation come from the ribcage and upper back.”

Move slowly rather than trying to get the shoulder all the way to the floor. The goal is mobility, not forcing the stretch.

If you have scoliosis, the exercise can also be adapted to work more specifically with your individual rotational pattern rather than simply doing the same movement on both sides.

I LOVE this exercise personally 🤗🤗

If you need help with movement or motivation, reach out for an assessment an an appointment.

💛One door closes … it’s time for change 🥲🥲

This coming Saturday will be my final Saturday morning class . After 8 years and hundreds of online Saturday morning classes, it’s time for change 😘

I just wanted to say a very heartfelt thank you to my loyal crew, for spending so many Saturday mornings with me and Pilates ❤️

It’s been eight years that I commenced this class , to be exact, and when I think about that, it really is quite something. We’ve shared so many Saturday mornings together, and although I know it’s time for a change, I have to admit… It feels very strange!

I’m definitely going to miss our Saturday morning routine, but I’m also excited about what’s ahead and the new possibilities that come with making a little more space in life.

And, because I obviously can’t help myself… 😄 I’m also planning to offer a new online Pilates class commencing in September on Monday evenings! A class to stretch, ground and prepare for the week ahead.

I love the convenience of online Pilates and feel that I need to offer it to everyone. The class will run for approximately 45–50 minutes, with the options of starting from 5.15pm,5.30, 5.45 or 6pm.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your wonderful support over the years. It has meant more to me than you probably realise.

Final class is this Saturday 29th August 9am.

Have a wonderful week and see you next Saturday if you are free.

Sending you much gratitude and love,
Antoinette ❤️xx

✨ Chakra Healing & Reiki ✨

Our chakras are often described as energy centres within the body — each connected with different areas of our physical, emotional and energetic wellbeing.

When we feel overwhelmed, stressed, tired or simply out of balance, our energy can feel blocked or unsettled.

✨ Reiki and chakra healing offer a gentle space to pause, restore and reconnect.

Through the calming energy of Reiki and the placement of the hands, we invite the body into a state of deep relaxation — allowing you to slow down, breathe and simply be.

It’s not about forcing anything to change.
It’s about creating space for your own body and energy to soften, settle and restore.

🌿 Supporting relaxation
🌿 Releasing energetic tension
🌿 Reconnecting body, mind & spirit
🌿 Creating a sense of calm and wellbeing

Sometimes healing begins simply by giving yourself permission to stop, breathe and receive. 💫

Whilst I was away recently, I had an amazing chakra balancing session myself . It helped me to reconnect to myself and to remind me what’s important to me.

I love to teach ‘self exploration’ through reiki and chakra balancing and I love to feel peace within my mind and body .

Book in for a session to balance yourself and perhaps rediscover exactly who you are and what you need to do to feel total peace and contentment within ❤️

✨Antoinette ❤️🙏

I’m back! 🌿

Back from a really lovely break in Bali. I had a great rest, but still managed to keep some gentle movement in — for me, movement keeps me energised - lots of beach walks, swimming, Pilates, meditation and Reiki. I also had a beautiful chakra balancing session, which was a lovely addition to the trip.

We had plenty of fun too, spending time with Carlo and catching up with a few friends from Melbourne was great.

I really love Bali. It’s close enough to home 🇦🇺 that it’s an easy escape, but there’s still so much to enjoy — the food, the people, the beautiful places and just a different pace for a little while.

Now the holiday is over and I’m back to work and looking forward to seeing everyone again.

If you’d like to book a session, reach out. I have a few spots left this Friday afternoon.

See you soon
