Big day at the club today.

Thanks to the success of the ‘Gals on the Green’ program and the uptake in women bowlers at the club, we are playing our first Women’s Pairs Final in some years.

We had 8 teams this enter this year & today, in perfect Melbourne winter conditions, the girls play their final.

All the best to our ladies playing today.

Action starts at 10:30 so get on down to cheer them on.

$5 Bacon and Egg rolls for those nursing sore heads from yesterday.

🎉 Club Tweed is excited to announce the 23rd Annual Junior Golden Nugget Field🏆

Get ready for world-class junior bowls on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, as the 2026 Junior Golden Nugget showcases its biggest and most diverse field yet.

🌏 With talented young players representing seven Australian states, plus international rising stars from Hong Kong China, and New Zealand, this year’s event is set to be a blockbuster weekend.

A total of 48 juniors – 24 boys and 24 girls – will compete for glory, hoping to etch their names into history alongside past champions such as, Corey Wedlock, Dylan Fisher, Nick Cahill, Jarryd Davies, Kane Nelson, Lisa Phillips, Samantha Norona, Jessie Cottell, Kira Bourke, and Ellen Fife (née Ryan).

🌟 Widely recognised as a golden stepping stone for Australia’s best young bowlers, the Junior Golden Nugget continues to attract top talent. This year, Club Tweed is thrilled to welcome 5 international players who bring added flair to this prestigious event.

Preparations going well for outdoor area to trade while the clubrooms undergo a makeover. All going to plan new club rooms will open mid to late September. Please support the club and pop in for a beer during renovation works.

Port Melbourne Bowling Club is excited to announce that our upgrade works will be commencing in the next couple of weeks after final sign off from council & Sports Rec Vic and are now reaching out to any local sporting / community groups who could use some secondhand items such as chairs, tables, lockers etc. We have attached some photos of what’s available, if any interest please message Craig Morris or pop into the club and have a look at the items.
