You asked, so here's the full story.⁠

**2012: I opened KettleFit in Port Melbourne.**⁠

One room. A pile of kettlebells. A vision to make group fitness less boring.⁠
**2012-2020: We grew.**⁠

Sold-out classes. Members who became family. 5 locations across Melbourne. ⁠

Port Melbourne was the heart of it all.⁠

**2020: COVID shut us down.**⁠

Like everyone. But while other gyms reopened, we didn't re open the same we consolidated back to 1 gym and slowly went backwards.⁠

Not because the training didn't work anymore, but because we had no money to waste figuring out the marketing in this post covid climate.⁠

**2021-2024: We had to pivot.**⁠

We started an electrical business to survive. Paid the bills. Kept coaching a few die-hard members in parks and car parks.⁠

But I couldn't let KettleFit die. Even though we walked officially away Sept 2024. We ran our last ever class at Port Melbourne. ⁠

**2024-2025: We rebuilt.**⁠

New location. New tech. Same mission.⁠

We defined "Game Zone" as our unique training category and installed screens to manage the sessions hourly. ⁠

We re-invented the programming on the big screens. We built a system that could survive anything.⁠

But we really survived because of a small group of die hard KettleFit Members who suck with us while we transitioned to the new system. ⁠

Our hearts go out to you all. ⁠

**2025-2026+: We're back.**⁠

Port Melbourne, you kept asking when we'd reopen officially.⁠

This is it.⁠

New studio. Better system. Same community.⁠

And if you were a member before COVID or after, your first month is on us. DM us "COMEBACK" and Lucy will sort you out.⁠

Port Melbourne, we owe you an explanation.⁠

If you've walked past our old location wondering where we went... if you were a member before COVID and saw us disappear... or if you're new here and wondering what KettleFit even is:⁠

This is for you.⁠

**What happened:**⁠

We've been here for 12 years. We had sold-out classes, an incredible community, and big plans.⁠

Then COVID hit. And like a lot of small businesses, we didn't survive the way we were set up. ⁠

We hung on for a while but died of slow death and shut the old training system down in 2024. The end of an era!⁠

We could have closed for good. But we couldn't let it die.⁠

**What we did instead:**⁠

We moved (PAINFUL). We rebuilt. We spent the last 12 months installing technology that didn't exist when we first started.⁠

We have defined a new category for our training called "The Game Zone".⁠

We have set a up a Screen-Led kettlebell training system. A system that makes every workout feel like a competition (even if you're just competing with yourself).⁠

THE EXACT SAME SYSTEM JUST BROUGHT TO LIFE USING THE LATEST TECH.⁠

**Why we're telling you this:**⁠

Because we're now ready to re launch our new system of training. And we want YOU here.⁠

➡️ New to KettleFit and would like to run through movements with a coach but not in a crazy environment with clocks ⏰ buzzing you to move to the next move

➡️ Need to use equipment to assist with some rehab work

➡️ Can’t make one of your usual strength session or circuit classes due to other commitments…easy come and make it up on a Wednesday evening
