Have you ever felt that desperate longing to arrive — to finally get “there”?

I remember as a young girl sitting in the car on long trips, wanting to know, “How much further?”

I think we can carry that same feeling into our lives, especially when the journey has felt long, painful or exhausting.

Yoga has taught me something different. Perhaps there isn’t a final destination where everything is suddenly okay, and all the suffering is over.

Perhaps we are not there yet — and at the same time, perhaps we are already here.

Here, in this moment.
Here, with whatever is present.
Here, without needing to rush ourselves towards somewhere else.

We learn, gently, what we need to ride (or survive) the waves. To come home to ourselves again and again. To notice when things feel steady, and when they don’t. To remember that we are more than the wave we are moving through… we are also the water beneath it.

And maybe the longing to arrive is simply part of being human.

Maybe we don’t need to force ourselves to feel differently or be somewhere we’re not.

Maybe, sometimes, the invitation is simply to notice:

I’m here. And for now, this is enough.

If this resonates, double tap 🤍 or share in the comments — what helps you come back to yourself when you feel like you’re waiting to arrive?

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on the heart of the work I do, and what it is that truly gives me energy.

I think it comes back to this…

The light in me meeting and greeting the spark of light in another.

My deep empathy, my ability to connect, to see beyond what someone may be experiencing and see their true self underneath it all.

I know what it feels like to lose connection with your own light.

For years I followed other people’s light. I people-pleased. I had very little boundaries. I needed permission. I poured myself into caring for others and forgot to care for myself.

It took me years to find my way back to my own inner wisdom and trust that the light I was looking for was already within me.

This is why I feel so passionate about supporting others to slow down, breathe, soften and reconnect with themselves.

To reclaim their power.

To sense their own light.

And perhaps, in a space where they feel safe and supported enough, to let that light shine again.

I believe we all have an innate wisdom deep within us — an endless source of energy, love and power, ready to be remembered.

This is the work I love.

And this is why I do what I do.

What helps you connect with your inner light?

Something I know to be true about yoga is that “I’m not good enough” isn’t true.

I see this belief come up so often in my students and clients — and I have moments where I believe it too.

We can hold ourselves to such a high bar. We compare, we strive, and we feel we should be doing more, achieving more, being more.

This week, we are exploring stillness and steadiness — and I think this is where their real gift lies.

When we become still and find a little steadiness, we create space to actually meet ourselves beneath all the striving, comparing and expectations.

And when we pause long enough to meet our true selves, we realise that all along, we were good enough. 🤍

Perhaps yoga isn’t about becoming someone better.

Perhaps it’s about remembering who we already are.

And who we are is absolutely good enough.

Double tap if this resonates with you, or comment below if you feel differently. 🤍

Reclaiming Stability for Ourselves 🌙

This week I’ve been reflecting on what happens when we’ve been holding a lot for a long time.

Sometimes, amongst all the roles, responsibilities and expectations of everyday life, we can lose touch with parts of ourselves.

And perhaps self-care isn’t always about letting go.

Sometimes it’s about reclaiming.

Returning to ourselves.
Gathering ourselves back together.
Finding enough steadiness to notice what feels true for us now.

With the new moon inviting us to turn inward, perhaps we can pause and ask:

What is mine to carry?
What belongs to someone else?
What feels true for me now?

We are allowed to grow.
We are allowed to change.
We are allowed to discover that something that once felt right for us no longer does.

This week in the studio we’ll explore steadiness, support and stillness — creating space to reconnect with ourselves.

And perhaps, this week, you might gift yourself a little Savasana.

10 minutes.
Nothing to achieve.
Nothing to perfect.
Just allowing yourself to be supported.

🪷Sometimes stillness is simply a space to come home to ourselves.

🌿 Holding It All

Spring is beginning, and today has been Father’s Day.

Two moments that can hold many different feelings.

Joy and sadness.
Gratitude and grief.
Hope and uncertainty.
Energy and exhaustion.

Sometimes more than one thing can be true at once.

This week I’ve been reflecting on what it means to hold it all — and noticing that sometimes we can soften, sometimes we need to keep holding, and sometimes what helps most is simply feeling supported while we carry what matters.

This week in our classes, we’ll gently explore Holding It All, along with the Window of Tolerance and our own resources for navigating the moments when life feels like a little too much.

No fixing.
No forcing.
Just space to notice, breathe, move and rest.

🌿 A new resource has landed in the Online Sanctuary

Creating Space is a gentle 30-minute practice exploring the spine in six different directions — moving, breathing and creating a little more space in the body.

It can be practised seated on a chair or on the floor, making it an accessible practice to come back to whenever you need it.

I especially love this practice for times of transition — as we move from one season to another, through the phases of the moon, or simply through the changes and transitions of our own lives. 🌙

Sometimes we don’t need to push forward or have everything figured out.

Sometimes we just need to pause, breathe, move gently and create some space for what is emerging.

This is now waiting for you inside the Online Sanctuary 🤍

Come and join me there — a growing collection of gentle, holistic practices to support you wherever you are.

Bridging Winter into Spring

There is something beautiful happening around us…

The light is changing. The days are beginning to stretch a little longer. Tiny signs of new growth are appearing.

We are beginning to bridge from winter into spring.

And after a beautiful winter of slowing down, resting, turning inward and listening more deeply, I don’t think we need to suddenly become spring.

🌿 Our inner seasons don’t always follow the calendar.

You might still be feeling winter within yourself.
You might be ready for something new.
You might be somewhere in between.

All of it is welcome.

This week, our practices will gently explore that bridge between seasons — from stillness towards movement, from inwardness towards spaciousness, and from rest towards gentle awakening.

Not forcing ourselves open, but creating enough space and support for opening to become possible. 🌱

🪷This week’s classes

🌿 Monday 9:30am — Rest & Restore
A deeply supported practice exploring rest, gentle awakening and heart opening, with space to simply be where you are.

🌸 Thursday 5:00pm — Gentle Holistic Yoga
A gentle, breath-led practice moving progressively from groundedness towards greater spaciousness and openness.

🪑 Friday 11:15am — Holistic Chair Yoga
Gentle movement, breath and mobility from the support of the chair — creating a little more ease and spaciousness as we move into spring.

🪷 And in the Online Sanctuary…

I’ll be adding a beautiful seated yoga sequence this week, designed to gently create space through the body and decompress the spine.

A lovely practice to return to whenever your body is asking for a little more length, ease and room to breathe.

🪷A little reflection for the week:

What season am I in?

Not what season should I be in.
Not what does the calendar say.

Just…

What is true for me right now?

Perhaps something is beginning to rise.
Perhaps something still needs to rest.
Perhaps both are true.

There is no need to hurry the transition.

We can bridge one season into another gently. 🌱

I look forward to sharing this beautiful threshold with you this week.

With warmth,
Michelle x

Our last winter Thursday session 🤍

This Thursday is our final Gentle Holistic Yoga class for winter — and we’ll be moving into a beautiful, yin-inspired practice.

A slower invitation to pause, soften and turn our awareness inward.

We’ll spend a little more time in each shape, allowing the body to settle and the breath to become a gentle anchor. There’s nowhere to rush to and nothing to achieve.

Just space to listen, release what you no longer need, and reconnect with yourself.

As winter comes to a close, it feels like the perfect time to slow down before we step into the energy of spring. 🌿

Thursday | 5pm
75 minutes • gentle • yin-inspired
All levels welcome 🤍

I’d love to share this last winter practice with you.

A little sanctuary moment 🩵

This morning one of my students shared something that made my heart so happy.

She woke through the night and couldn’t get back to sleep.

Rather than reaching for her phone or simply lying there awake, she logged into the “Online Sanctuary” and listened to the Dirgha Pranayama breathing practice.

And then… she went back to sleep. 🌙

She said she had a really good sleep afterwards — and how wonderful it felt to have that practice available to her in those early morning hours.

This is exactly why I created the Online Sanctuary.

Not just for when you have an hour to practise.

But for those little moments when you need something simple, soothing and supportive.

At 4:30am.
After a difficult day.
When your mind is busy.
When your body needs rest.
Or when you simply need a few quiet minutes for yourself.

Your practice doesn’t always need to be a full yoga class. It’s about allowing yoga to become part of your everyday life, inviting its practices into the moments when you need them most.

Sometimes, a few conscious breaths are enough. 🩵

The Online Sanctuary is always there when you need it.
