This beautiful painting was created by my Dad.

As I looked at it today, I was reminded that flowers don’t rush to bloom. They unfold in their own time, responding to the seasons, the light, and the conditions around them.

Perhaps we’re not so different.

Tomorrow’s Gentle Holistic Yoga class is an opportunity to pause, soften, and honour where you are right now—without needing to fix, change or strive for anything.

Through gentle movement, mindful breathing and relaxation, we’ll create space to reconnect with ourselves and the wisdom of simply being.

A woman said these words to me this week as she was leaving a yoga class, and I haven’t stopped thinking about them since.

It’s been a big week in many ways, and yet it wasn’t one of the bigger moments that stayed with me. It was this simple reflection on that feeling we sometimes have after practice…

When the breath deepens.

When our shoulders soften.

When we realise just how much we’ve been carrying.

Perhaps yoga invites us to do both.

To melt a little — softening our armour and loosening our grip on all that we’ve been holding.

And to float a little too — remembering that we don’t have to carry the full weight of the world on our own.

I’ve been receiving some incredibly beautiful messages from people sharing how much these weekly reflections have been supporting them, particularly after last week’s email exploring the many faces of silence. Thank you for reading, replying and allowing these little offerings to land where they’re needed.

Today, through my work at Liberty, I had the privilege of standing alongside our incredible team to honour the women whose lives were taken through domestic and family violence over the past year. šŸ’”

It was quiet, moving, and deeply felt.
Each woman’s name spoken aloud.
Each life remembered with a rose, compassion and care.

As someone who supports women in recovery and healing from DFV, I hold close the stories, strength, grief, and courage of so many women. Today is a reminder of why this work matters so deeply.

A gentle note for your week 🪷

There’s something I’ve been reflecting on lately… how important it is to have small moments in our week where we can simply pause.

To breathe.
To soften.
To come back to ourselves.

I’ve been continuing to hold space in different ways recently — nature walks, workshops, in person classes and within the Moving with Grief community — and I’m always reminded how powerful it is to be in spaces where nothing needs to be fixed… where we’re simply allowed to be just as we are. 🌈

For those who are part of my in-person yoga classes, you hopefully received an email with some important updates…if you would like to be kept in the loop regarding classes please send me a DM

And for those here in this wider community — I’m so grateful you’re here šŸ¤ 🪷

I’m also slowly creating some gentle, pre-recorded classes for those who prefer to practise at home or aren’t local.
