Iona Sports Club

Iona Sports Club IONA Football Club was created in 2017 and our first teams entered the Mid North Coast competition in 2018 with 22 teams in the MiniRoos (U/6–U/11) age groups.

In 2026, we have 445 registered players encompassing 39 teams.

! Starting with Netball and Football in 2018, the purpose of Iona Sports Club is to provide a positive environment for all players to compete and enjoy sport, both training and playing to make sport a lifelong activity. In 2020 we have expanded into Futsal, Basketball and Volleyball and in 3 short years now have over 600 players representing our club.

The countdown is on to the 2026 Newcastle Permanent Northern NSW Community Football Grand Finals, with three exciting Northern Junior deciders set for Rainbow Beach Sporting Fields.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, volunteers and supporters who have helped these teams reach the season's biggest stage. The dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship shown throughout the year have been outstanding.
