~portmacquarieswimmingclub.com.au Swimming Club is a group of swimmers of all ages; many who may be just starting out in swimming, and many who are up-and-coming young competitors with dreams of one day swimming fo

r their State and Country. Former members of our proud club include Olympic silver medallist and former world 100 metre freestyle champion James Magnussen, and Paralympic silver medallist Paige Leonhardt. Swimming Club meets from 6-7pm every Wednesday night throughout the season (October- April), at the Port Macquarie Pool. Club nights include 25m and 50m timed races for swimmers of all ages, where winning is not important but improving skills and times are the goal. Participation and times are recorded and these count towards Club Championship awards at the end of the season. Club nights are not ‘swimming lessons’ but are lots of fun, excellent practice for school swimming carnivals, and a great way to build confidence in the pool. These meets are optional; however we encourage everyone to try at least one local carnival at some point as they are great fun. This is the pathway into competitive swimming for those kids who wish to pursue this as a sport and potentially advance to Regional, State or National levels.

Memberships are purchased online through https://swimcentral.swimming.org.au. Register for an account, and once logged in you can purchase individual memberships in the ‘STORE’ tab. If the members are kids, one parent must also become a member
• Annual membership for a swimmer: $110
• Annual membership for a non-swimmer (i.e. parent): $40
• Active Kid’s vouchers are accepted- have your voucher ready and enter the voucher number at checkout.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙨
Registration for Club Nights is required, via a very simple online form each week. This form will be emailed to members, and posted on our page each week. Entering weekend swim meets is done in advance through https://swimcentral.swimming.org.au, in the ‘EVENTS’ section. Entry fees are based on the number of races entered, usually around $7-8 per race. Select the races you want to enter your child into, add to cart, and proceed to payment when you are done. Then keep your eyes open for emails relating to the event, with programs usually sent out a few days before.
