A totally unbiased congratulations to port saints after a close shave win to seal the MNCF championship! The valiant Redbacks boys seemed to have one hand on the trophy all season and were understandably distraught to see the title slip through their fingers. However the youthful saints players were deserving of all accolades in their breakthrough season as they scored buckets of goals and accomplished several club milestones along the way. A first ever victory over neighbouring club Port United and an away win against defending champions Wallis Lake were particular highlights for a club that can now boast a strong senior team to complement its power in juniors.
