Coasters Hot Rod Club

Club for owners of hot rods in the Port Macquarie and surrounding Hastings area.

A Hot Rod Club with around 30 members based in the Coastal city of Port Macquarie and its surrounding area, we hold an annual rod run in Feburary each year and attend events all over the east coast of Australia.

The Coasters club secretary finally again owns a registered and roadworthy hotrod! The never ending '32 project once again has missed the annual Valla deadline, so the Model A it is, for the summer round of rod runs.

We took a few cars to comboyne today for the scarecrow festival , what a great day it was , met some lovely people the community of comboyne were so welcoming for our clubs day out. It was lots ’s of fun . There were some very creative scarecrows , the Port Macquarie men’s sheds scarecrow was standing proud ,We also Stopped at Byabarra Hall to say hello and have a cuppa. The community of Byabarra are celebrating 100years for their hall . What another bunch of great people .

Finally got hold of a teardrop in time for Valla. Apart from the very dodgy axle, which I am replacing, it is a tidy little thing. As for the '32, it might not yet make the deadline, but after installing the fourth clutch master cylinder, I now have a clutch that works. 👏

Great day out at South west rocks , Riverside tavern for lunch. Nice outing , Great food good company, and a reminder to never let Brad lead he’s been promoted from Hot rod Member to Hot rod Rocket 🚀 apparently the speed limit was holding him back 🤣🤣🤣

Photos this week of Allan and Brad presenting camping equipment to local SES branch. Each February the local SES crew assist the Coasters Hot Rod club with our annual Show n Shine at Town Green carpark, so we like to return the favour.
