That is a wrap for me in the Pro Shop!

I am not sure what will happen with Swing Fit in the future or where it will take place. I will keep everyone posted when I have more of a plan.

I really want to say thank you to each and every one of you for taking part in the Swing Fit program. I have truly enjoyed running it. It has honestly been a highlight of my days over the last 5 years.

To those of you that completed all of the classes and started to play, it made my day just seeing you out on the course or practising. There never used to be women playing socially on the course prior to Swing Fit, never. So it truly did make my day seeing you go out and play. To those of you who joined the Club and pushed yourself into competitions, I am incredibly proud of you for getting out of the comfort zone and taking on this game with all that you had. Again seeing this brought me joy and a sense of achievement. To the Queenstown Queens, these trips were so much fun and I am truly grateful to have been able to travel internationally to play golf for work. It was really a highlight of my career.

I don't think that this is the end of Swing Fit. I will let everyone know what is happening once I know more. For now though, keep playing or practising and I will be in touch soon.

Golf is the best game that you can play. Thank you so much for choosing me to help you get on your way. I hope that it has helped you. I do apologise for all of the frustration I have caused you when you go out to play though 😂 it is the game and not me. Just remember that it is just a game though, enjoy the company and the fresh air and remember your one good shot that you played. If there wasn't one good shot played, there is alcohol at the end 🥂 😂

Hey Swingers!

Swing Fit update for this week.

This is our last lot of Swing Fit classes for this year.

When will the next lot of classes start? This is unknown. If I continue to run the classes, they will resume in March. They could resume at the PMGC, they could resume at another location, they could resume at PMGC with someone else running the classes or they might not resume at all 😥

I love running the classes though, so I will do what I can to continue doing them.

I will let everyone know what is happening as soon as I know.

Thank you all very much for taking part in Swing Fit and becoming a part of the Swing Fit family. I hope that golf can become a regular part of your life as a result of Swing Fit.

If I don't see you beforehand, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Let's have a great 2026.

I hope that you have a great Christmas with Family and friends. Be safe, stay cool, eat lots, stay hydrated, be nice to people working and try to play some golf ⛳️ 🥂

Class update for our upcoming week.

Wednesday Beginner and Intermediate on as normal this week. We will have the 26th of November off as I will be in Queenstown.

Thursday Advanced class on as normal at 5pm. Bring all the clubs for our last session.

Saturday Beginner and Intermediate classes not on this week as I will be in Queenstown. Our next class will be on the 29th of November. I do fly back in on the 29th though so hopefully I will make it back in time to do these classes as normal.

Special announcement.

As of yesterday I have resigned as the Club Professional at Port Macquarie Golf Club 😢

The current Swing Fit classes will go ahead, beyond that I am not sure what will happen. It will all depend on who replaces me. Someone could come in and then I may not be permitted to teach as the teaching rights could potentially go to them. They may take it over and do a better job. They may say no, we are aren't doing that anymore or they may say James this is great, you keep running it.

So I do not know what the future holds. I do not have another job lined up. If you know of any going with flexible hours around school and weekends and public holidays and want to pay me a fortune please let me know 😄

I do sincerely want to thank all of you for your involvement in Swing Fit. It is the best game that you can play and I am so happy that I could help get you started.

I am very proud of all of your and the efforts that you have put into yourselves and your golf. Keep it up as it is the only way to get better.

Registration forms will be sent out tonight. If you know someone who wants to join in, get them to reach out to the Pro Shop asap on 0478 818 330.

The course is closed for the next 3 days, so enjoy a little break, I know that I will.
