We sat down with Sarge at Triple M Mid North Coast to talk about our team’s incredible performance at the Port Macquarie Open on the weekend 🏆

59 medals. 1st Place Best Team across all three categories. The biggest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition ever held in Port Macquarie.

We are the newest academy in the region and we came out on top.

Sarge also chatted with us about what’s coming next. The Australian National Championships and our team’s preparation for the big event 🥋

PORT MACQUARIE OPEN 2026 - TEAM RESULTS

We just finished the Port Macquarie Open 2026 and had the most incredible day with our community!

50 athletes from Evolve BJJ stepped up and gave their best at our local competition - the biggest day on the calendar for our team.

We met 330 competitors from around Australia and finished with incredible results. Our Team placed 1st in all of the Best Team categories.

Big things are happening here at Evolve BJJ.

Our mission has always been simple, to empower people through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to excel in their lives. Our team has grown from strength to strength right here in Port Macquarie.

Our academy has become a destination for personal and athletic growth where we train, compete and thrive with our community.

This Sunday we have the Port Macquarie Open Jiu Jitsu Championship. It’s the biggest day on our calendar. 50 of our athletes take on 300 competitors from across Australia right here in front of our home crowd.

Our team has done the work and trained relentlessly for this. It’s competition time.
