Established in 1849, the Port Fairy Cricket Club is affiliated with the WMDCA. We also run a Woolworths Blast program for 6-9 year olds.

We have sides in PREMIER, Divisions 2,3,4, Under 17, Under 15, Under 13 and Under 11.

With Port Fairy's football season coming to an end, Senior cricket training now moves back to Tuesdays and Thursdays. With only 4 weeks to go until the season start, it is time for all Pirates to get into the nets and get rid of those cobwebs.

On behalf of the committee, we are delighted to announce the signing of Vish Deemantha on a 2 year contract at the Port Fairy Cricket Club.

34 year old Vish is a hugely talented left handed top order batsman / wicketkeeper.

Vish spent last season playing for Glenorchy in Tasmanian Premier cricket, where he won the Noel Diprose Medal for MVP. He moved to Port Fairy with his partner Chamodi in early June to commence work with our great friends out at Bamstone Port Fairy.

Special thanks to Michael and Sam Steel out at Bamstone for working closely with the club to help get Vish to Port Fairy.

Vish is a fantastic signing for our club and I am sure you will all work to help welcome Vish and Chamodi into the Pirates' family, as they begin their new life in Port Fairy.

"G’day Pirates! 🏴‍☠️

I hope you’re all enjoying the off-season and starting to get keen for the season ahead!

We’ll be kicking things off with a pre-season launch on Sunday 2nd August.
We’ll have a training session at the indoor shed from 11, before heading to sponsors The Victoria Hotel for lunch at around 12.30pm.

It would be fantastic if everyone could bring their families along for lunch. This is also an open invitation to all supporters and members of the Pirates' family. It’s a great opportunity to meet our new recruits, welcome them and their families to the club, and catch up before season 2026/27 gets underway.

We are delighted to announce that 7 time Steven Gibb Medallist, Jason Perera, has recommitted for 2026/27 for his 9th season at the Port Fairy Cricket Club. Fresh off a fantastic season last year, gun all rounder JP remains a force to be reckoned with in the WMDCA, and an all time favourite of Pirates' fans. Welcome back JP!

Congratulations to the six young Pirates selected in this year's WMDCA junior development squad involved in the coaching academy program in August and early September at Action Sportz on Sundays.
The players who have been chosen include some who played in the WMDCA Under 13 Portland Country Week last season, others who have been recommended and have demonstrated that they possess an adequate skill level and would benefit from this coaching exposure and for the first time some talented players from the two Under 11 Grand Final teams from last season- West Panthers and Port Fairy Pirates. 🏴‍☠️🏏

Wishing one of our more popular players ,Vincent Huf, all the best for the future as he leaves the Port Fairy Cricket Club after 2 seasons. Having moved back to Geelong for work, Vin unfortunately did his ACL in preseason football training at Newtown and Chilwell putting him out of sport for 12 months. We wish Vin all the best with his recovery post surgery, and thank him for his contributions over the last 2 years. As we know, once you become a Pirate - you are a Pirate for life, so I am sure we will see Vin back down at the club at some stage in the future.
