Port Fairy angling club fishing report after today’s weigh in. Yambuk lake produced some nice bream and the Hopkins yielded plenty of bream but many undersized and the Moyne was the stand out with bream to 1.430 kg which was released well done Barry who is on a hot streak at the moment as he also won the Easter fishing competition conducted by the Warrnambool angling club a couple of weeks ago. H/bag land was Barry 4.942 kg 5 bream, h/fish land was Geordie 1.002 kg bream, h/bag boat Mark 2.016 bream and h/fish boat was Danny 908 gram bream.

Port Fairy angling club fishing report after the weekend’s competition. Good snapper from the north shore at Portland, a few trevally, whiting, snapper, mullet, and salmon caught at Port Fairy. Also the Moyne and Hopkins producing bream to 1.2kg and Mulloway to 3kg, Yambuk was also good for bream, h/fish boat was Sue a trevally 684grms, h/bag boat Danny snapper and mackerel 2.212kg. H/bag land was Mark 7.256kg bream and Mulloway and Barry had the h/fish bream 694grms . Next competition is April 18/19th.

Port Fairy angling club fishing report after this weekend’s competition, quite a few good bream to 1kg coming mostly from the Moyne and a few from Yambuk and Leigh caught a great bag of snapper some over 40cm in the bay. A few mackerel salmon and mullet were also caught. H/fish land was Russell a bream 866 grams, h/bag land was Mark 5 bream 3.734kg, h/fish boat was Geordie a bream 824 grams and Leigh had the h/bag boat 5 snapper 4.492kg. Also we have a meeting at the clubhouse this coming Tuesday 7.30pm start.

Port Fairy angling club fishing report after today’s weigh in, quite a few different species were caught including mackerel, salmon, whiting, snapper, sweep, estuary perch, bream and barracouta. H/bag boat was Danny bream and perch 2.248kg, h/fish boat was Geordie whiting 456 grms just pipping Kraig by 2 grams, h/bag land Mark 5 bream 4.302kg and Leigh had the h/fish land snapper 392 grams. ALSO we have a fishing clinic on February 6th at 10.30am helpers needed please.

Port Fairy angling club fishing report after today’s weigh in with some great fish caught. Bream to 1kg and Russell bagged a snapper of 1.826 kg in the Moyne river. Geordie did well in the Hopkins river bagging out on bream and new member Mathew did well at Portland in his kayak with several nice pinkies and trevally. H/bag boat was Mathew 2.938kg, h/fish boat was Geordie 786 grams - bream, h/bag land was Mark 3.754kg bream /snapper and Russell had the h/fish land 1.826kg snapper.

Port Fairy angling club fishing report after the weekend’s competition at Nelson. The weather was good but the fishing was a bit slow but there was quite a few Mulloway caught but only one that was size, along with some reasonable bream and Barry got a nice estuary perch. H/bag land was Russell 5 bream, h/fish land was W***y a bream, h/bag boat Mark bream and Mulloway and Barry had the h/fish boat - bream and thanks to Leigh on cooking today’s bbq lunch superb as always. Also please note that we’re having our Xmas 🎅 break up
and presentations for last season next Friday evening at the clubhouse from 5pm bbq and salad supplied. Feel free to bring a sweet
to share and it’s byo drinks everyone welcome hope to see you there.
