What an awesome result for our GMMix team last Saturday at MiniG.
First OC6 across the line, only beaten by 3 gun Ski paddlers.
Paddlers from 4 different clubs just made up one mighty team! Ross, Ingrid and Lee from Port Douglas, joined by Angela Howell( The Dam), Liz Power (Coral Sea) and Tim Dodds paddling in the Ultralight Kamanu U1.
After a great start, the crew was trailing one of the favourites, the MW from Hekili ( in a Hydra). Half way between the first turn and Double Island, they took the lead and eventually finished the 20 km race 2 min ahead in 1:42:20.3, hr.
First OC1 across the line,was Alex Pawlow.
He will also race tomorrow at GBROC, but this time on a Ski.
Go and get that Record mate!!!!

A successful Regatta for us last Weekend at the Dam. Not just on the water, but also "behind the scene".
Congratulations Dani!!
For the last 15 years, Dani has been our Secretary and for most of this time our Registra as well.
We would not have a Marlin Coast Challenge as it is today, a Club shed...and the list goes on..
Thank you for all your hard work. We couldn't have done it without you.
Looking forward to the next 15 years 😀

What great day of racing at The Dam last Saturday!! Rain, Sunshine and a lot of red mud, but we all had a great time and some great results with Bling
8km OC6: 3rd for the Unlimited Open Women
4km OC2: 3rd for Glen and Alex in the Master Men
4km V1: 2nd for Ingrid in the Open Women
4km OC1 1st for Alex in the Senior Master Men
Yotsie relay: 3rd for Maya, Glen, Kevin, Dani, Ingrid and Jake ...we missed out on the Chocolate prize..bugger
1000 m sprints 3 Turns: 2nd for Master Women
A big thanks to SukHan, Angela Howe and Maree Mullet to help out.

Packed up and ready to roll!!! The Dam here we come!! 1 men 1 womens crew, a couple of Oc1 and OC2 and the 2 crazy ones on their V1s. Looking forward to great weekend of racing 😀
