Balancing Act Sailing

Sunday was 2 handed sailing with Wynnum Manly Yacht Club. We were lucky to have a clear day amongst all the current rain and squalls. A 100-degree wind shift allowed us to carry a shy spinnaker over the line.

Julian Rocks ocean race out of Southport. We got 4th in both major handicaps behind the big boats. A dying breeze had a 1am finish. But plenty of variety as we used almost every sail J2, J4, J5. S2, A6, A3.

After an enjoyable Brisbane race week it’s time to get back into offshore mode. Arrived at Southport yacht club for tomorrow’s Julian Rocks race.

Monday was long passage race day as part of Brisbane Race Week. The light winds and longer format suited us and we came out winners for the day. Thanks to the crew across all days of the race week. Wednesday is the last race of the series.

Balancing Act is competing in Brisbane race week. Our first win was closest estimate for the lap of Green Island.
