This past week a large number of CTA members made their annual trip up to Port Augusta for the Port Augusta golf week.
Run from the 1st to the 7th of August everyone enjoyed perfect sunny weather, some great golf, great atmosphere and plenty of cold beers!
Most will already be looking forward to next year for sure!!

Hey everyone!
Just a late reminder that tomorrow's round is @ Victor Harbour tee off is 8.30am and is the second club championship round for the season! The weather is looking good so no excuses! Please be there at least a half hour before tee time.

We scored perfect weather AGAIN! this Sunday for our round @ Thaxted park golf course especially considering the wild winds and storms we've had this week!

A good showing of members saw good scores on a course ripe for the picking!
With 2 man stableford multiply the comp of choice! And another round of the challenge cup to be played out.

Runner up: Jonathan 37pts on a count back from Luke

NAGA : Josh 24pts on a count back from Foo (winner two previous rounds!)

We saw 6 birdies and an EAGLE! To Andrew well done.
Also well done to Rob, Jonathan and Andrew on making the final 3 of the challenge cup to be held on the 17th of July @ North Adelaide

A reminder that our next round is the June long weekend away trip to the riverland.

Hi everyone
Just a reminder that this Sunday (tomorrow) is the clubs next round being played at Thaxted Park Golf Club - 9.00am tee off.

Also Membership is now due, after the 1st April, non financial members scores will not count towards the clubs Championship awards.

The forecast for Sunday is 22 and sunny, with a little bit of wind about to make it all the more challenging.

It is also our Allan Menzies Trophy (par round)
So it's the first chance to get your name on a trophy this year! Will Russell defend his title?

The forecast for Sunday is 23 and sunny, a Perfect! day for golf.

Hi All

Four CTA members participated in this years Travellers Golf Week held from the 6th to the 12th March 2016 in the Murray River Region, staying in Yarrawonga NSW.

Tim, Roger, Gary Savill and Peter Martin drove to Yarrawonga on Saturday 5th March and played four courses in the region competing with 75 Travellers from around Australia and New Zealand (13).

Sunday evening started with a welcome BBQ and Registration (details of the weeks courses, tee times and playing groups each day). They also brought the Shotgun start forward to 9am (from 10.30am) given the forecast was for 36 to 38 each day.

On Monday we played Cobram Baroga Golf Club and Tim won with 40 points and Peter and a NSW partner came second in the 2BBB with 44 points.
(Peter 36, Gary 36 and Roger 21points).

Tuesday we played Tocumwal Golf Club (Captains course).
(Peter 34, Roger 34, Tim 29 and Gary 16 points).

Thursday was again in the high 30's, playing the very new links course "Black Bull Golf Club" (just started building a $35 million Sebel Resort & Club House). Gary Savill won with 38 points.
(Gary 38, Peter 38, Roger 32 and Tim 31 points).

Friday was played on the pictures Yarrawonga Golf Club (Murray Course) playing stroke for the Championship Trophy.
(Peter nett 72, Roger nett 79, Gary nett 79 and Tim nett 82.

Awards were presented at the Friday night dinner where it was announced that next years National Golf Week will be held in Noosa Qld during June 2017.

The SA boys stayed on playing another course at Tocumwal and then Murray Downs, returning on the Monday holiday.

What a great golf trip, enjoyed by all.

Well what a perfect day for golf!
Today's round @ Flagstaff Hill golf course was the first of 3 club championship stroke/stableford comps this season.
With the weather perfect there was bound to be some good scores!
Winner of the day was Foo with 38pts
Runner up: Peter Martin with 37pts
Front 9 winner: Russell 20pts
Back 9 winner: Rob Surman 20pts
NAGA : Graham 20pts
Nearest to pins: Sam, Luke and Foo

Well done everyone who made it out and remember our next round is @ Gawler on the 17th of April 8.30 tee off. It is also the Allan Menzies trophy par round so it's a chance to take home a trophy this season!

And finally all membership fees for this year are now due!!!!

Just a reminder that this Sunday is the clubs first of three Championship games (best two scores count) being played at Flagstaff hill - 8 am tee off.

It's also the second round of the clubs Challenge Cup for those members still in the running.

The forecast for Sunday is 27 and little wind, a great day for golf.
