It is with great sadness that the Central Augusta Football Club acknowledges the recent passing on 3rd June 2026 of a true icon of the Club in Peter Martin.

He played his first senior game in 1957 and accumulated 200 senior Club games before his retirement in 1973. He played in the 1960 premiership team, the last year of A grade football in the Port Augusta Football League. He also played in the 1963 and 1971 B grade premierships.
Following his retirement, he continued to serve the Club as a Trainer and was member of the Management Committee from 1977 until 1987, the last 6 years serving as Vice President.
Peter was also a member of the vocal supporters' group that occupied the infamous One Eye Hill at Central Oval.
