For the history buffs out there, this one is unforgetable

This suburban club from Alberton was a Power in the SANFL. It is a dreamer in the AFL. No longer black and white, no longer sing Cheer Cheer, which they stole from Sydney/South M. No longer a Magpie or a Lightning Bolt. They are embarrassing. Rely solely on last centuries achievements in another league. The history they make is just marketing fluff.

The AFLW game at Alberton was a shocking game, Umpiring below Auskick level, built up as sold out but over 2000 short of that. Port got to wear the Collingwood Jumper, and play We will never bring back the Tarps.
The Crows got to sing their song in the middle of Alberton Oval, and also take away all the lollies. Congratulations to Ebony.
The pathetic, patronising commentary on 7 was sickening

First Showdown between Ports AFLW, a home game played at Alberton and the Crows, places the Crows $1.10 for a win against Ports $6.50. Even the Prison Bars can't save them.

The decision by CreditUnionSA to partner with PAFC, is a poor decision. It gives exclusivity, to a small group, ignoring the vast majority of members who support other teams. Bad form CUSA

The Club that abandoned a united SANFL plan to enter the AFL, arrogantly going its own way with a plan that would fill stadiums every week, has now been exposed.

The Club is the most confused club in the AFL.

It has dropped the Power moniker from its AFL Jumper, and now the Magpie logo from the SANFL. It no longer has a mascot.

Supporters say it is now just called Port Adelaide. It does not have a stand alone club song, "Power to win" in AFL and "Cheer, cheer" in the SANFL. They are Teal in the AFL, and Black and White in the SANFL. Everything center's on the image. No point having a great pregame presentation Never Tear us apart, jokingly called Never tear us the Tarps by others, when all people really want is good footy. It celebrates a selective history. Abernathy played AFL for Adelaide Crows in the AFL, the Great Russell Ebert played for North Melbourne in the AFL.

History is manipulated to serve those to whom history is more important than winning today.

Apparently Port are increasing the width of all players lockers, due the number of Official Jumpers they have. Bit like a woman trying to choose which top to wear today. So many to choose from
