Information regarding everything that is happening for all members and friends at the PHFC 🔴⚫️⚪️ Kilda style guernseys.

The Para Hills Football Club was founded in 1971 via a teacher and parents at the Para Hills Primary School. 3 teams - U 9, U 11 & U 11 reserves were fielded in the North Torrens Junior Association wearing St. Home Games were played at the school or Manor Farm Oval at Salisbury East. Para Hills played it’s first senior game at the start of the 1974 season in the Central District Football Associati

on. In an effort to find the right fit for the club, we have over the years played in the South Australian Amateur Football League with brief stints in the former Central District Football Association which later became the Northern Metropolitan Football League before it disbanded and the also now defunct South Australian Football Association. Settling back into Amateur League in the mid 90’s, Para Hills has worked extremely hard at building the club for the long term future to ensure success both on the field and in our growth as a local sporting club. After a successful 2023 both on-field and off field we look forward to further success and growth in 2024.....

🏆 Volunteer of the Week – Geoff Weetra 🏆

This week's Volunteer of the Week is Geoff Weetra.

Geoff has been volunteering at Para Hills Football Club for many years and is one of those people who does an enormous amount of work behind the scenes to help keep the club running.

Every Friday, Geoff spends several hours line marking our oval to ensure everything is ready for game day. He is also one of the first people at the club on Saturdays, helping set up before the games and staying around afterwards to help pack everything away.

On top of all that, Geoff is also our C Grade Coach, dedicating countless hours to supporting our players and helping develop the team.

Volunteers like Geoff are the backbone of our football club, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he does.

Thank you, Geoff, for your hard work, dedication and commitment to Para Hills Football Club. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated by everyone at the club.

This weekend our junior teams are back in action across Adelaide, with plenty of games at home at EXP Realty Oval and some big challenges on the road.

🏉 Sunday Action
A huge morning of football at home sees our U9 Black, U9 Red, U10, U11, U13 and U16 Girls all flying the Big Reds flag at EXP Realty Oval.

🏉 Away from home, our U7s head to Angle Vale, U8 Black travel to Gaza, U12 visit Marion, U14 take on Gepps Cross and our U15 Boys head to Woodville South.

🔴⚫️⚪️ SUNDAY JUNIOR RESULTS – ROUND 6 ⚪️⚫️🔴

Another great day of junior footy for the Big Reds, with plenty of effort, improvement and some fantastic results across the grades!

✅ U13s continued their strong season with a 70-58 victory over Edwardstown.
✅ U14s held their nerve in a thriller, defeating Unley by just 2 points, 35-33.
✅ U15 Boys battled hard and came away with a well-earned 47-42 win over Gepps Cross.

While the results didn't go our way for the U12s and U16 Girls, both teams showed great determination and never stopped competing right until the final siren. Keep working hard and your rewards will come.

A huge thank you to all our coaches, team managers, volunteers, parents and supporters who continue to make junior football possible each week.

Well done to all our players for representing the Para Hills Football Club with pride. Keep learning, keep improving and most importantly, keep enjoying your footy!

🔴⚫️⚪️ SATURDAY SENIOR RESULTS ⚪️⚫️🔴

A lighter schedule this weekend with our A Grade and B Grade enjoying the bye, but there was still plenty to celebrate for the Big Reds!

💪 C Grade Men
A dominant performance from the C Grade, running out convincing winners over Hackham.
🔴 Para Hills 120 def Hackham 10 ⚫️

The boys controlled the game from start to finish and were rewarded with a strong percentage-boosting victory.

🏉 Senior Women
Another outstanding display from our Senior Women, keeping Salisbury North scoreless in a fantastic team effort.
🔴 Para Hills 37 def Salisbury North 0 ⚫️

The girls continue to grow in confidence and consistency, producing some great football and earning a well-deserved win.

❤️🖤🤍 From Our Roots to Our Future 💛❤️🖤

This year, Para Hills Football Club is proud to partner with the Para Hills Primary School Nunga Group to design our Indigenous Round guernsey, which will be worn by our senior footballers in July.

The partnership is particularly meaningful as Para Hills Football Club was founded more than 50 years ago and has its roots at Para Hills Primary School. Many of the club's earliest players and supporters came through the school, making this project a wonderful way to reconnect with where our story began.

Over recent weeks, students and teachers from the Nunga Group have worked together to create a design that reflects culture, community, connection and pride. Watching the students share ideas, tell stories and bring their artwork to life has been a fantastic experience.

To have a guernsey designed by the next generation of our community, and worn by today's players, is something truly special.

A huge thank you to all of the students and staff involved. We are honoured to wear your design during Indigenous Round and can't wait to reveal the finished guernsey to the wider Big Reds family. Stay tunned to see the finshed product.

🌟 VOLUNTEER OF THE WEEK 🌟

This week we recognise Belinda Beer for her outstanding contribution to Para Hills Football Club.

Belinda is our Thursday night Head Chef and volunteers countless hours in the kitchen helping serve up meals for our members, players and supporters. Thanks to her hard work, we have seen a huge increase in meals this year, making Thursday nights a great success.

Not only does Belinda help create a fantastic atmosphere around the club, but many would agree she cooks the best schnitzels in Para Hills! 🍽️👏

Belinda is also a dedicated committee member and has filled many different volunteer roles throughout her years at the club. Her willingness to step up and help wherever needed is a true example of what makes our club so special.

Thank you, Belinda, for your dedication, hard work and commitment to the Big Reds. Your efforts behind the scenes make a huge difference and are greatly appreciated by everyone at the club.
