We took a trip up the highway to CD Martial Arts for the Vic BJMA Muay Thai Training Day.
Maya came along for the ride and joined in the training sessions with a variety of coaches. Kru Mark and I assisted with gradings.
It was a great day and a lot of support was shown for this newly established club.

Celebrating 40 years of Martial arts. 15 years ago, our lad, who had come through the kids karate program, did his senior Shodan grading [1st degree black belt] grading. Pictured with Soke Bob Jones who showed us the martial arts path we have followed. The family that trains together, stays together.

2 strong Yellow Patch gradings tonight. Both students showed significant improvement over the last few sessions which paid off during the test tonight.

Terrific work rate shown by Maya during her Orange patch grading. She did all rounds with Kru Mark who pushed her but she shone through.
Thanks to Trent who came to work with Josh through his Blue patch requirements. As regular training partners, it's good to see them follow through to see Josh to the next level. A true demonstration of

A moving, but fitting, tribute to Soke Richard Norton was held at Albert Park today.
Here's another memory, 1999, Loddon Prison, Castlemaine, where we had a Zen Do Kai Club operating for a number of years. Soke Richard came to join in a seminar for the lads with Soke Bob Jones, Kyoshi Steve Nedelkos, and our Central Victorian black belts.
