🔵 WORKING BEE REMINDER ✈️⚾

A quick reminder that we have working bees at the club tomorrow Sunday, 30 August, from 10am–2pm.

With more teams taking the field and the club continuing to grow, there’s plenty to do to get everything ready for the upcoming summer season.

If you can spare an hour or two — or stay for the whole session — we’d really appreciate the help.

Many hands make light work, so come down and help us get the Aviators ready for summer! ⚾✈️

⚾️ DUGOUT DADS – ONE FOR THE MASTERS! 😂

The Sandlot crew are getting back together 33 years later for the new YouTube series Dugout Dads.

A bunch of dads, a love of baseball, and the realisation that the body might not move quite like it used to… 🤔

Sounds strangely familiar. 😂

We reckon there might be more than a few Dugout Dads among our new Aviators Masters players — especially after last weekend’s scratch match! ⚾️✈️

Definitely one to add to the watch list.

For the first time in 33 years, the original cast of The Sandlot reunites on screen in Dugout Dads, a heartfelt comedy about a first-time Little League coach...

⚾ BASEBALL UNDER THE LIGHTS IS BACK! 💡

Saturday night was a pretty special one at Brookdale Reserve, with our Masters and Women’s scratch match bringing baseball back under the lights after months without power.

It was great to see some new faces out on the diamond, alongside players from our Women’s team and those giving Masters baseball a go.

One of the best parts was seeing a number of dads who have spent plenty of time on the sidelines supporting their kids now stepping onto the diamond themselves, learning the game and discovering what their kids have been enjoying all this time.

Unfortunately, our social media guy was also one of those dads… and was so busy playing that he completely forgot to take any photos. 🤦‍♂️😂

So, due to the complete lack of photographic evidence, here is a highly accurate stick figure recreation of what happened. 🎨⚾

If you were there and actually remembered to take some photos or videos, please share them with us…we’d love to see them!

And judging by Sunday morning, there may also have been a few Masters players discovering muscles they’d forgotten they had. 😂

Thanks to everyone who came down, played, supported and helped make the night happen.

⚾ ALL GIRLS BASEBALL IS COMING TO THE AVIATORS! ✈️

After launching our inaugural Women’s team this winter, we’re excited to keep building opportunities for girls and women at the Aviators.

This summer, we’ll be entering an All Girls team in Baseball Victoria’s inaugural All Girls League! 💙⚾

Interested in playing or want to know more? Reach out to the club for more information.

Something new is coming this summer... Introducing Victoria's very first all girls division! 👏⚾

The inaugural All Girls SL70 competition is coming this season, to develop the next generation of female baseballers. 🙌

Any girls aged between 11-15 who are interested are encouraged to reach out to their local club and express their interest.🤝

Not long now until the season begins, stay tuned for more VSBL posts to come! ☀️⚾
