Good day out at the Motorcycle Enduro Riders Club Inc round 2 Enduro near Nugent. The sand brought a few unstuck but Coops 10 laps of 11 ks were fairly consistant bringing home 3rd place in A grade and 15th outright. 🏁 OUR CLUB 🏁

MERC runs entirely on volunteers, hard work, and long hours. Just absolute legends donating time, energy, and passion so we can all go full throttle on race days.

FLAGGYS
Standing out there, rain hail or shine dodging bikes while waving flags like your life depends on it, because it kinda does.

SWEEPS
Their own bikes, fuel and time, paying for a licence to get out there and keep our riders safe deep in the bush.

TRACKS
The volunteers that get out there walking kms to bunt and clear debris! 10 tracks built a year, built for every event, every time. Then theres the hands that go and pack it all back up again.

OFFICIALS
The vested team that has done hours of training courses to stand on duty all day, making sure our events are safe and compliant. Then they go home and have paperwork, so much paperwork.

COMMITTEE
The meetings, the hours, the conversations, and the decisions that all make our club the best dirtbike club for our members.

Every rule written and every vest worn is for your safety. The club may make it look easy, but the work behind the scenes is something you have to see to believe.

Thank you to each and every one of you who contributes to our club, big or small. It all adds up to make MERC a family-friendly club of choice.

So consider volunteering to flag, come help mark a track, or say a small thank you to someone in the vest on race day.

The Motorcycle Enduro Riders Club Inc round 2 grass track was held at Carlton yesterday. A big track with fast sections had it all! Unfortunately with the amount of dust, we only managed 2 rounds, looking after the riders safety. Coops first race started off by letting most of his class go through the first corner only to pluck them off finishing a very close second to Sean Ryan. 2nd race started well but he decided to lay down for a rest a few times finishing 5th and ended up 4th overall for the day. Highlight was getting the fastest lap time by a few seconds each race. We are still using Penrite Oil in the Bike Barn Hobart Beta Motorcycles Australia XPRO with the best suspension you will get by Motaero! Thanks also to Fleetway Motors and Tas Plant Hire & Sales for ongoing support. Also a big thanks once again to Jeff Daniels at Shutter Speed 650 for the amazing photos.

Another 200+ riders registered to decend on Carlton River, ready to tear up Round 2 of the JH Eastwood Builders Grass Track, as part of the Glaze Custom Doors & Windows Race Series.
This weekend is going to be next level. 🤙🏻

Reardons Rd is a public road with local residents. Please respect the traffic and follow all event signage, especially our blue arrows guiding you in.

The race order locked, loaded, and staying consistent for the entire 2026 season. If entries spike and we need to split classes, the final order will be displayed at sign‑in on the race order board.

What a huge weekend! The Motorcycle Enduro Riders Club Inc hosted their biggest event ever with a double header at Stormlea. Grasstrack Saturday and Enduro sprint Sunday with around 200 entries for each day. While Coops aproach for racing this year is a bit more relaxed, we still love being part of the club and happy with final results placing 5th out of 14 in class Saturday and 7th Sunday. We haven't reached out for support this year but still want to thank the locals who have supported us in recent years.

Our Come & Try Day is the perfect chance to experience the club, meet our community, and get a feel for the sport in a friendly, supportive environment.

MERC is a non‑profit, volunteer‑run club based in southern Tasmania, offering Grass Track and Enduro racing for riders aged 4 and up. 🙌🏻

This event is open to riders who have not previously raced with us and are joining (or planning to join) this year.
