Balance is one of those things you don’t think about much…
Until you start to feel like you’re losing it.

That slight wobble stepping off a curb.
Feeling unsure on uneven ground.
Needing to hold onto something more often than you used to.

The good news is, balance can be trained.

And when your balance improves, your confidence improves too.

You move with more trust in your body, and that flows into everyday life.

Little by little adds up.

🎉 75.7kg LOST IN 6 WEEKS! 🎉

What an incredible effort from our latest Level Up group.

Together, this group achieved:

✅ 75.7kg total weight loss
✅ 7.84% average body weight reduction
✅ 3 participants losing more than 10% of their body weight
✅ Hundreds of hours of walking completed
✅ Stronger habits, routines and consistency
✅ Improved energy, confidence and fitness
✅ Better sleep and stress management
✅ Reduced alcohol intake
✅ Greater strength, mobility and resilience

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

Over the last six weeks, we watched people step outside their comfort zones, challenge old habits, and prove to themselves what they are capable of.

💪 People who thought they couldn't stick to a plan became incredibly consistent.

🚶 People who struggled to make time for exercise found ways to prioritise their health.

🥗 People who felt stuck with nutrition developed new skills and confidence around food.

😊 People looking for more energy, better mood and improved wellbeing achieved exactly that.

Perhaps our favourite result of all was seeing people start believing in themselves again.

The physical changes have been amazing, but the growth in confidence, mindset and self-belief has been just as impressive.

Every participant came into the program with different goals and different challenges, and every participant levelled up in the way that mattered most to them.

To everyone who took part, thank you for your effort, your openness, your support of one another, and your willingness to embrace the process.

We are incredibly proud of what you've achieved and can't wait to see where these healthy habits take you next.

👏 Congratulations to the entire Level Up crew. What an outstanding result.

Want stronger glutes without needing any equipment? 💪

Here’s a simple home circuit you can do in just a few minutes.

Strong glutes are about more than just shape. They support your hips, knees, ankles, posture, and lower back - which becomes especially important as we get older.

Try this:

✔ Side-lying hip abduction
Draw the shape of a square with your top leg. Go 4 times clockwise, then 4 times anti-clockwise. Swap sides.

✔ Supported single-leg glute bridge
Place one foot lightly on the wall for support. Drive through the heel of the foot on the floor and lift your hips into a full bridge, keeping your pelvis level.

Do 12 reps each side.

Repeat the full circuit 3 times 🔁

Aim for 2–3 times per week, focusing on control rather than speed.

Strong doesn’t need to be complicated - it just needs to be consistent.

Strength after 50 doesn’t have to mean doing anything extreme.
It’s about starting where you’re at, training safely, and building your body up step by step.
Small, consistent efforts make a real difference over time.
You start to feel stronger when you’re lifting, carrying, reaching, gardening, walking, and doing the everyday things that matter.
That’s the goal.
Not punishment.
Not pushing through pain.
Just smart, age-appropriate training that helps you feel more capable.

Every now and then, it’s good to get away from the screen and change the environment 🌿

Mountains in front of me, trees all around, the ocean in the background, and just the sounds of nature 🌊🏔️

Pretty hard to complain.

As much as I love what I do, I’ve always needed time outdoors. It clears my head and helps me reset.

Fresh air, a decent view, and no rush to be anywhere.

That’s the kind of simple stuff that keeps me grounded 💙

Stop, breathe, and enjoy where your body can take you

This is what we’re really training for.
Not just reps and sets.
Not just ticking off workouts.
But being able to get outside, move your body, enjoy good company, and feel confident about where your body can take you.

After 50, fitness should support your life.
Your walks.
Your travel.
Your weekends.
Your independence.
Your ability to keep saying yes.
Train smart.
Stay consistent.

Enjoy the rewards.

Three different clients. Same story 💙

They all came to us feeling tired, stiff, sore, and unsure where to start. Stairs felt harder. Knees, joints, and backs were aching. The gym felt intimidating, and going it alone wasn’t working.

What changed?

Support. Accountability. And expert guidance 💪

With Rob and Mitch there each step of the way, they didn’t have to guess. They had someone watching their technique, keeping them consistent, and helping them train safely around what their body needed.

Now they’re:

✔ Getting up off the floor more easily
✔ Doing squats they never thought possible
✔ Feeling stronger and moving better
✔ Sticking with exercise longer than they ever did before

That’s the power of the right support.

When training is tailored to your body and your stage of life, everything becomes more doable.

This is strength after 50.

Not a packed class.

Not a program designed for 25-year-olds.

Not being left on your own wondering if you’re doing things properly.

At TBFT, our studio training is semi-private, usually with 2–3 people training at the same time.

That means you get the support, coaching, and accountability of personal training — with the encouragement and friendly feel of training alongside others.

Your program is built around your body, your fitness level, your injuries, your goals, and what you actually need.

Because strength after 50 isn’t about chasing extremes.

It’s about feeling more capable in everyday life.

Walking further.
Getting up and down more easily.
Keeping up with the grandkids.
Travelling with confidence.
Doing the things you enjoy without feeling like your body is holding you back.

Little by little adds up to a lot over time.

And it’s never too late to start.

If you’re in your 50s or 60s and you’re ready to feel stronger, fitter, and more confident, send us a message and we’ll help you take the first step.

Feeling a bit soft or weak through the back of your arms after 50?

This simple band exercise is a great place to start.

You don’t need fancy equipment — just a light resistance band and a safe, sturdy place to attach it, like a solid railing or post.

The key is to keep it controlled, use a band that suits your strength level, and work at a pace that feels manageable for your body.

Stronger arms aren’t just about how they look.

They help with real-life things like carrying shopping bags, lifting, reaching, pushing yourself up, gardening, and feeling more capable day to day.

Start small.
Stay consistent.
Little by little adds up.

It’s not just about the exercise.
It’s about being around people who are also choosing to look after their health, build strength, and keep moving well as they get older.
That makes a big difference.
Because when you’ve got support, accountability, and a healthy community around you, it’s much easier to stay consistent.
And consistency is what helps you feel stronger, more confident, and more capable in everyday life.
Little by little adds up.
