D Grade have made the semi-final and are taking on ladder leaders Hamilton. The last time these 2 met was on the 14th Feb with Hamilton coming away with a close win.

Captain smokes had a tough gig this week having to select a side!! If you can let's get down to Kennedy Oval and support the team in their bid to make it to the Grand Final!!

What a great turn out Sunday in Harrow 🙌
The cricket future is looking bright with this bunch of kids up and coming. Massive shout out to Marcus "coach custard" for keeping the kids entertained.
Also well done to Noah and Simon playing in the Glenelg XI and also to Rob for umpiring. Simon was also awarded top player for the Glenelg side 👏

D Grade play their final home and away game today and have already locked in a finals spot, so make sure you get down to Tarrington and show your support.

Unfortunately, our women’s grand final was washed out, meaning they finished the season as B Grade runners-up. A big effort from the girls all season and something to be proud of.

Our A Grade side couldn’t quite get the win last week, which brings their season to an end. A big well done to the group on a good season and the effort they’ve put in.

🏏 Johnny Mullagh Cricket Clinic – This Sunday!

This Sunday we have the Johnny Mullagh Cricket Clinic at Johnny Mullagh Park Oval, kicking off at 9:30am.

It will be a fantastic morning combining the incredible history and story of Johnny Mullagh with a fun cricket clinic for the kids. A great chance to learn a bit about the game’s history while getting involved with some cricket.

Would be great to see plenty of kids and families there!

No grand final match for our womens team today 😢

It is with great sadness that the HDWCA match committee has decided to call off Grand Final Day, due to the weather and safety of the players.

With persistent rain through the night and morning, and the radar saying more on the way, it is simply not safe to play.

Calling off a Grand Final is obviously the last thing that was hoped to have happen, but player safety is paramount.

Under the rules, as Tahara are the highest ranking team in the A Grade Grand Final, they are declared the premiers, and likewise, as Hamilton Blue are the higher ranked team in the B Grade Grand Final, they are declared B Grade premiers.

Our women’s team headed down to Tahara last night to play in the semi-final, and thankfully the rain stayed away so the game could go ahead.

It was a close game but unfortunately we couldn’t get the win against Tahara, but the season isn’t over yet!

The girls will be playing in the B Grade Grand Final tomorrow at Melville Oval in Hamilton, with the game kicking off at 12pm. They are up against minor premiers Hamilton Blue🏆

We’ll have a bus leaving from Ponds at 10:30am. If you’d like a seat, please let Sonia Gaussen know on 0459 842 780. Limited seats available — first in, best dressed!

Tonight our women’s team head down to Tahara to take on Tahara in their semi-final. The result of that game will determine whether we play in the A Grade or B Grade Grand Final on Sunday — best of luck to the girls! 💪

No game for D grade, they win due to a forfeit.

A Grade must win this Saturday to secure their place in finals — so it’s a big one! Make sure you get down and support the boys.

Sunday’s Women’s Grand Final will be played at Melville Oval in Hamilton. We’ll have a bus heading from Pigeon Ponds for supporters who’d like to come along. Departure time is TBC — we’ll update everyone once that’s confirmed.
