The social calendar is now out so pencil the dates in and come along and support the club. The social committee put in alot of work for make these functions a success. The ball, Reverse raffle and mystery bus trip are just some of the highlights for the year. Trainings are Tuesdays (fitness & team bonding) and Thursday (skills) for Football & Netball. All players and new members are advised to attend Tuesday trainings whilst Thursdays are compulsory for all playing members. Thursday nights dinners are available all season.

🚨 2027 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Picola United FNC are excited to announce the appointment of Dean Holyman and Marcus Walsh as Under 17's Football co-coaches for the 2027 season!

After a few years coaching the Under 14's, Dean is excited to take on the challenge of the older age group, while Marcus is stepping into coaching for the first time and is excited for the new experience ahead!

We can't wait to see what the boys can achieve in 2027!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank David Daniel who is stepping down from Under 17's coaching after a few years in the role. Thank you for everything you've done, Dave!

SEMI FINAL RESULTS ✅

Another day of beautiful finals weather met us in Berrigan as we headed up for our C Reserve Semi Final, where our girls took on the Katandra Kats.

It was an even contest all day, with our girls giving it their all and maintaining a 4 or 5 goal advantage until the dying minutes of the final quarter, where Katandra only just caught up to be 28-all at the final whistle.
The girls re-grouped and headed into over-time. With cool heads they fought for their lives, giving it everything and leaving nothing in the tank. After two 5-minute halves, the final whistle came and the girls went down by the smallest of margins possible.

The spirit and determination shown by this team throughout their finals series is something the whole club can be proud of. Well done girls 💙🤍

Today's Semi Final sees Amy Caldwell notch up 100 club games! 🤩

Amy has worn our club colours with pride her whole life. As a shooter, she has shown time and time again what she is made of. Amy might be faced with a challenge, have a tough game, or find herself up against a difficult opponent, but one thing you can always count on is that she will never give up.
Stepping up into senior netball can be daunting but Amy has embraced it and has grown into such an important member of the team, showing hard work on and off the court, determination and willingness to fight for every ball.
But what makes her so special isn't just what she brings onto the court, her bright smile, infectious spirit and hard working attitude shine through in everything she does.

100 games down, and hopefully a few more hundred to come in the blue and white!

CONGRATULATIONS to our senior players who have been invited to the 2026 PDFNL Senior Vote Count!

CADEN RATCLIFFE - Seniors
Caden is brick wall. He's fast, furious, and throws himself into any contest with determination. Being Caden's first season of Senior footy at the club, he has been a real weapon for our side. Well done Caden! 🙌

JESSICA BEATON - A Grade
2022 League runner up, Jess is a beautiful defender. WD, GD, Keeper, and a cheeky run in Centre, Jess can do it all! She puts her body on the line for a contest and most often comes out on top. It was great to welcome her back this season, well done Jess! 🫶

JACINDA BEARD - B Grade
Cin is the centre glue to our B Grade side, connecting the defence to attack seamlessly, always there if you need and loves a cheeky intercept (or eight in one quarter)! Jacinda has had a fantastic season. Well done Cin 🎉

TEN DOVE - C Reserve
Ten is the full back of our C Res side. She throws herself at any contest, and is a nightmare to play on. She leads the team with ferocity and determination. Well done Ten on another great season! 🙌

It is no wonder these players received an invite, they have all had a fantastic season and are real assets to have at Picola United! The club is so proud of you all!

The Senior PDFNL Vote Count takes place on Monday 7th September from 7pm.

PRELIMINARY FINAL ROSTERS 📋

Many hands make light work, thank you to all of our players and volunteers who have put their hand up for a shift at our Prelim Final next Saturday 5th of September! 🫶

This is sure to be a massive day for the club.
Whilst we won't have any sides playing, it is sure to be an exciting day with teams playing for a spot in the big dance! So come on down to the Picola Rec Reserve and get amongst the fun!

If you are no longer able to fulfil your shift, please let us know ASAP so we can sort a replacement.
