🇦🇺 THAT’S A WRAP – MYRTLEFORD 2026! 🌏🏆
What an incredible three days at the 2026 Asia Oceania Sport Boules Championships in Myrtleford!
Australia, China, Japan and Hong Kong came together for three days of outstanding international competition, sportsmanship and friendship.
🇦🇺 Team Australia delivered a fantastic home Championship, highlighted by Nicole Samsa’s thrilling Women’s Singles gold, won 13–11 against China in a match that went right down to the final throw! Nicole also produced a new Australian record in the Women’s Progressive Throw.
There were outstanding performances across the entire Australian team, including Tony Borrelli, Stefano Chiandotto, Bernardo Alcorace, Corey McKenna, Silva Piotto, Melissa Roberts, Chiara Tomasi, Melissa Danelutti and Nicole Samsa.
A special moment also for 16-year-old Corey McKenna, competing at his first-ever international championship, who received the Myrtleford Bocce Club Encouragement Award. Japan’s Hayashi So was recognised by the Club as Athlete of the Championship.
