Brian Mackie's Karate Team Blue Gum Instructing traditional and competition Karate for juniors and seniors. Our doors are open to new students, and to old timers who have unfinished business!

Welcome to the Blue Gum Dojo! Being adjacent to local schools and shopping centres in the Melville/Brentwood area, we have the perfect location to teach your child both traditional and competition level Karate. With a combined experience of over 40 years of Karate, and with great success representing Goju Kai at state, national, and international competitions, our instructors, Brendan Loh and Paul

Trumbich teach their students at the very highest level. Our traditional drills, fitness and flexibility exercises and games will make our classes both entertaining and valuable, improving the confidence, coordination, and concentration of our students in an inclusive environment. There will be no training tonight as the centre is still closed to us. I am expecting that we will get the all clear for training tomorrow night but today’s training (Monday 3/5) is canceled.

Hi all members. I have just been contacted by the administration at the centre informing me that the class CANNOT go ahead tonight as they can’t accommodate more than 20 people and with the after school care this is not possible.
Please like this post acknowledging that you have seen this and understand that the class is CANCELED tonight.

I WILL KEEP YOU ALL INFORMED AS THINGS CHANGE.

The post you all know has been coming 😢.... Due to the current lock down situation, Brian Mackie’s Karate Blue Gum will be closed this week.
Hopefully this all blows over quickly and we’ll be back in the dojo next Monday at 4:00pm for higher grades and next Tuesday at 4:00pm for lower grades/beginners.

Sorry guys. If you want to be a step above the rest, I would suggest doing a heap of stretching and push-ups and sit-ups at a minimum.
