City of Perth Swimming Club

City of Perth Swimming Club City of Perth SC provides a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all swimmers—of any age, ability, or background can belong, grow, and succeed.

We champion respect, equal access, and child safety under Swimming Australia’s Integrity Framework. Welcome to the City of Perth Swimming Club's official page! The City of Perth Swimming Club was founded in 1923. The club was originally based at Crawley Baths in the Swan River. It is here that the ‘club days’ as we know them were held for the members. With a proud history being the oldest

club in WA, City of Perth has been through many iterations, most recently in 2012 when a merger with Lawley Aquatic Swimming Club saw a name change to Perth City Swimming Club. The newly formed Perth City Swimming Club reaped benefits from the rich heritage of the oldest club in WA and the third oldest club in Australia, the support of Perth College school, as well as the success of its current top level International, National and State swimmers. This success is testament to the nurturing culture at the Club, the infrastructure support provided by Perth College, the perseverance and hard work of the athletes, and the dedication of our coaching team. Lawley Aquatic Swimming Club was based in Mount Lawley at the Perth College pool. The club was first established in 1981 under the name of Guildford Grammar. The club's initial aim was to cater for the swimming athletes between the two school communities. As the club developed in numbers and recognition a name change was initiated in 2001 to the club now known as Lawley Aquatic. In 2023, the club celebrated its Centennial Year and returned to its home base at Beatty Park Leisure Centre, where City of Perth was based since Beatty Park opened in 1962. With this milestone celebration came another new era, the return of the clubs original naming: City of Perth Swimming Club. This club has an incredibly rich and proud history, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds. Adam has wrapped up his second Nationals campaign in style, securing two strong personal bests!

Racing against the country’s top 15-year-olds under the Gold Coast sun was no small challenge, but Adam stepped up and delivered when it mattered most.
