This Saturday, history will be made as Balga SC hosts its first-ever promotion play-off game at Princess Road Reserve!

The Black & Greens take a 3–1 lead into the second leg against Subiaco AFC, but make no mistake - we are only halfway there.

There is still a huge amount of work to do if we want to reach the Promotion Play-Off Final and keep our dream of returning to State League Division One alive.

🖤💚⚽️ HIGHLIGHTS | SUBIACO AFC 1–3 BALGA ⚽️💚🖤

The Black & Greens came away with a 3–1 victory over Subiaco AFC in the first leg of our State League Division One Promotion Play-Off Semi-Final.

The boys put in a fantastic performance and now hold a two-goal advantage heading into the second leg.

But the job is only HALF DONE.

No football at Princess Road Reserve today, with Mindarie forfeiting both fixtures.

Despite not taking to the pitch, the Black & Greens collect the points in both games.

The result sees us remain in second place on the ladder after Noranda Emerald held on for a close 4–3 win over Northern City today.

A massive thank you to all of our Black & Green supporters who made the trip to Rosalie Park yesterday and got behind the team.

The flag waving, the noise and the support from the sidelines was fantastic. Our players really appreciated having you there, and we're sure your support helped push the boys over the line in the first leg.

The job is only half done.

Now we need you all back for the second leg at Princess Road Reserve this Saturday as we look to finish the job and book our place in the State League Division One promotion play-off final.

All the goals from today's State League Division One/Division Two play-off semi-final first legs.

Balga Soccer Club, who finished fourth in Division Two, are in the box seat against Subiaco AFC after winning 3-1 at Rosalie Park. A Jose Zuniga penalty and two late goals for Samir Ramos have Balga well placed going into next week's home second leg. Subi momentarily pulled it back to 2-1 via an own goal.

In the other semi-final, Rockingham City Football Club edged Official Wembley Downs Soccer Club 1-0 at Lark Hill. Joseph Moss headed the winner 10 minutes from time.

Both second legs are next Saturday, with the two winning sides meeting in the final at the Sam Kerr Football Centre on 19 September for a place in Division One next season.

SUBIACO AFC 1–3 BALGA

The Black & Greens have taken a 3-1 lead back to Princess Road Reserve after a fantastic first-leg performance at Rosalie Park!

⚽️ Jose Zuñiga opened the scoring to give Balga the lead.

⚽️ Samir Ramos then doubled our advantage in the second half with a composed finish to make it 2-0.

Subiaco pulled one back in stoppage time to make things interesting, but there was still time for Samir Ramos to produce a moment of magic, scoring a brilliant goal to restore our two-goal advantage!

🔥 3-1 Balga.

Enjoy tonight, boys - you’ve earned it!
