Our Under 23s are enjoying their best season since 2007 under the guidance of coach Kamando Sikazwe, and on Saturday they moved level on points with third-placed Forrestfield United following an impressive 5-1 victory πŸ‘πŸ”₯

The game was turned on its head with a devastating attacking spell that saw the Black & Greens score four goals in just ten minutes πŸ’ͺ⚽️

Goals came from:

⚽️ Maximo Marafuschi-Phillips
⚽️ Harvey Atkins
⚽️ Finn Wilson-Pidgeon
⚽️ Nicholas Bahr-Pike

before Joshua Kotio completed the scoring from the penalty spot πŸ‘Š

Forrestfield United managed a late consolation goal, but the boys had already done the damage with a dominant performance from start to finish.

A huge congratulations to Kamando and the squad on another outstanding result. Keep up the great work, boys! πŸ–€πŸ’šπŸ”₯

πŸ–€πŸ’šβš½οΈ AMATEUR LEAGUE RESULTS βš½οΈπŸ’šπŸ–€

Our Amateur First Team's perfect winning record has come to an end, but the boys remain unbeaten after battling out a 1-1 draw away to Morley-Windmills πŸ‘πŸ’ͺ

While it wasn't the three points, the result keeps the Black & Greens firmly in the mix as they continue their strong season.

Our Reserves fought hard but unfortunately went down 3-1 in their clash.

A big effort from both teams on the road, and we now look forward to getting back into action next weekend against Noranda Emerald πŸ‘ŠπŸ–€πŸ’š

Well done boys, keep the momentum going! πŸ”₯⚽️

Balga opened the scoring through Alessio Meschi, who powered home a brilliant header from an excellent free-kick delivery by Jose Zuñiga ⚽️

The home side managed to level the scores before half-time, but Balga responded strongly in the second half πŸ’ͺ

Making his First Team debut for the Black & Greens, David Dimola came off the bench to restore our lead, finishing off another superb free-kick cross from ZuΓ±iga πŸ‘Š

Dimola then capped off a memorable debut by sealing the win with a well-taken solo goal late in the game, securing all three points for Balga ⚽️⚽️πŸ”₯

FULL TIME at Hartfield Park. We secure a strong 6 points.

A memorable day for Balga SC, with Amir Dzamastagic securing his first win in charge as the senior side produced an impressive 3:1 away victory over Forrestfield United at Hartfield Park. The result marked a strong start to Amir's tenure, with the team showing character and quality to claim all three points on the road.

It was a successful day across the senior program, with the Reserves also delivering a dominant 5:1 win away from home.

Unfortunately, the Under 18s couldn't make it a clean sweep, going down 3:1 despite a spirited effort. Nonetheless, two wins from three matches made it a positive afternoon for the club and another step forward for Balga SC.

Balga Soccer Club appoints Amir Dzamastagic as State League Head Coach.

A familiar face returns, part of the setup that brought Balga back to State League in 2014.

Balga Soccer Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Amir Dzamastagic as State League head coach. Dzamastagic is well known to the Balga faithful, having first joined the club in 2012 where he worked alongside coaches Martyn Day, Bobby Taneski and Aleks Vrteski, playing a part in the club's return to State League in 2014. He subsequently moved to Perth SC, coaching across all age groups throughout his career, and has built a strong reputation as a developer of talent, with many players he has worked with going on to compete at NPL and A-League level.

On the representative stage, he has claimed Ethnic Cup honours with Bosnia and back-to-back African Cup titles as head coach of North Sudan and South Sudan respectively.

"Amir is someone who has been well known to this club for many years. We are excited to see what the future holds under his guidance and look forward to working alongside him as we continue to develop our young squad" said Ken Shorto, President, Balga Soccer Club.

"I'm very happy to be back to where everything started for me. This club is very close to my heart. My focus right now is Saturday's game against Forrestfield and helping the players get the three points" said Dzamastagic, State League Head Coach.

Dzamastagic's appointment is effective immediately, with his first match in charge this Saturday against Forrestfield.

Welcome back to the Black and Greens, Amir.

πŸ–€πŸ’š BALGA SC CLUB STATEMENT πŸ’šπŸ–€

Balga Soccer Club has made the difficult decision to part ways with First Team Head Coach Gerhard Janssen.

Gerhard joined the Black & Greens in 2021 and immediately set about rebuilding the club’s senior program. Over the past five seasons, he has played a significant role in shaping the direction of the club, assembling a competitive squad and helping establish strong foundations for the future.

During his time at Balga, Gerhard led the club through many memorable moments and came close to guiding the First Team to the promotion play-offs on a number of occasions. More importantly, he built a culture based on commitment, hard work, and pride in representing the Black & Greens.

While Gerhard’s contribution on the field has been substantial, it is important to recognise that his family’s support has also been invaluable to our club. From assisting behind the scenes to supporting club events and helping wherever needed, the Janssen family has become an important part of the Balga community.

Community football clubs rely on people who are prepared to give their time, energy, and passion for the benefit of others, and the Janssen Maluga family have done exactly that throughout their time with us.

On behalf of the committee, players, members, volunteers, and supporters of Balga Soccer Club, we would like to sincerely thank Gerhard and his family for everything they have contributed over the past five and a half years.

They will always be welcome members of the Balga family, and we wish them nothing but success and happiness in the future.

The club will announce its new First Team Head Coach soon.

πŸ–€πŸ’šβš½οΈ FIRST TEAM VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS βš½οΈπŸ’šπŸ–€

Check out the highlights from our First Team's hard-fought 0-0 draw with Carramar Shamrock Rovers at Grandis Park πŸ‘

The Black & Greens had their chances to take all three points, with both Ravi Raj Singh and Riley Chapman striking the woodwork, but unfortunately we couldn't find the breakthrough.

Despite creating some good opportunities, it finished in a stalemate as both sides shared the points.

πŸŽ₯ Enjoy the highlights from Saturday's clash!
