When plans go wrong??!?!
Was really looking forward to getting back on the trails today, but had doubts about my left ankle. Just a ni**le really, but way too painful and just too soon to be on it for long, so had to abort my planned 10km.
Anyway, I’m trying to practise more about turning negatives to positives and something I heard recently was to think of 9 positives for every 1 negative. A 90% rule, as in life is mostly 90% good and 10% not so.
So here goes…
NEGATIVE:
1. Abort my planned trail run with ankle in pain!😬
POSITIVE:
1. Still managed a slow 3km👍
2. Got a good sweat on🥵
3. Love the excitement of a quiet morning drive out into the bush😍
4. Still spent 30 mins in nature🌳
5. Enjoyed my morning coffee☕️
6. Got a reality check/lesson to not push my body and go back to more strengthening for the week ahead💪
7. Spend the time I was gonna run longer at home with the family👨👩👧👦
8. Saw an Emu up close on the trail🦤
9. Found a new route to add in for next time🤩
Always find the reasons to be positive and move away from the negatives.
My practise continues…🙏
