💙💛 CLUB HISTORY & CLUB LEGENDS 💛💙

This week we’re looking back at an incredible chapter in Kardinya history - Brad Karafil and the Kardy Kats team that achieved something truly special. 🏉

A dominant era saw the team claim three consecutive top division premierships in 2016, 2017 and 2018 - an amazing achievement built on talent, teamwork, commitment and great coaching.

Many players from this group continued their football journeys beyond junior footy, going on to play at PFL, WAFL and AFL levels, a fantastic example of where hard work and a love of the game can lead.

Brad’s contribution to the club continued well beyond those premiership years, and in 2020 his dedication was recognised when he was named Volunteer of the Year, winning $10,000 for the club. 👏

A great reminder of the players, coaches and volunteers who have helped shape the history of Kardinya. ☀️

Our Y9-10 Girls hit the road this weekend, taking on Piara Waters in their away game. 🏉

After a pretty wild week of winter weather, the rain held off and the girls got a great run out on the field. 💙💛

It wasn’t our day on the scoreboard, but the girls showed plenty of determination, teamwork and SUNS spirit right to the final siren. The effort and improvement continues to build each week. 👏

Keep an eye out for some familiar Kardinya Suns faces at Optus Stadium! 🏟️🏉

Our player spots for the Gold Coast SUNS Guard of Honour are officially filled, and we can’t wait to see our Kardy SUNS representing the club as the players run out for Round 16 Fremantle v Gold Coast Suns.

What an awesome experience for our junior players to be right there on the field, soaking up the atmosphere and making some unforgettable footy memories. 💙💛

If you’re heading to the game, cheer extra loud when you spot our SUNS out there! ☀️👏

A great show of support from our Y7 SUNS getting behind and the Big Freeze. 🏉💙

This weekend WA joi 💙ned the fight, with Optus Stadium turning blue for the Big Freeze as the footy community came together to raise awareness and funds for vital MND research and support.

It’s fantastic to see our players getting involved and showing that junior footy is about more than just the game. It’s about community, teamwork and supporting causes that matter.

Great work boys 💙💛❄️

Big congratulations to Jonty from our Y11-12 Blue team, who proudly represented the Fremantle Dockers Next Generation Academy in their end of season clash against the West Coast Eagles Academy at Optus Stadium on the WA Day long weekend Friday night!

Playing in the curtain raiser before the Dockers’ historic 10th consecutive win made it an even bigger occasion.

A fantastic achievement. Go Suns! ☀️💪

Our Year 2 SUNS had an awesome time taking part in Auskick Round last weekend, a chance to pull on the colours, play with their mates and enjoy a pretty special footy experience.

These are the moments junior footy is all about: big smiles, teamwork, friendships and memories made along the way. 🌟

☀️ BACK TO FOOTY THIS WEEKEND ☀️

After a bye weekend for most of our teams over the wild WA Day long weekend (with a special shoutout to our brave Y5 & 6 SUNS who took on the Optus Stadium lights despite the storm! 🏟️🏉), we’re back for another big weekend of junior footy.

The forecast is looking much friendlier this time around, but after all that rain, maybe keep the wellies handy on the sidelines just in case! 😆

Good luck to all our players, coaches and families heading out for their games. Bring the energy, support your teammates and enjoy being back out on the field.
