MSWA has over 1,500 members aged 18 to 95, spread across 30 clubs and a virtual club - Swim West. Masters Swimming WA’s (MSWA) motto – Swim for Life, encourages all adults, regardless of ability or age, to swim regularly to promote fitness and health in a fun environment. Formerly known as AUSSI, Masters Swimming WA was established in 1977 and affiliated with Masters Swimming Australia. It is also a part of the Worldwide Masters Swimming movement. We have over 1,500 members, aged 18 to 95, who enjoy fitness, friendship and fun through swimming and social activities as members of over 30 clubs and a virtual club throughout the state. Our virtual club, Sandgropers, is administered through the state office for country adult swimmers who wish to participate in MSWA events and activities. Our member’s swimming ability ranges from novice swimmers to world record holders. We provide a wide range of development, training and competition opportunities in pool and open-water swimming. We also offer members a chance to develop their skills in – coaching, officiating and administration by running courses.
