Young designer Jett has been announced as the winner of the Quinns District Junior Football Club Starkick 10-Year Anniversary Guernsey Design Competition, with his colourful and creative artwork set to inspire players across the clubโ€™s all-abilities football program.

Jettโ€™s design immediately captured the spirit of Starkick, combining bright colours, stars, and powerful symbolism to celebrate inclusion, teamwork, and individuality.

In his design explanation, Jett wrote:

โ€œIt is bright and colourful and I wanted all of the Starkick and Bulls club colours included together on the one jumper.โ€

Jett explained the meaning behind the stars:

โ€œIt has 10 stars for 10 years. It has shooting stars because they are cool and everyone brings their own special skills.โ€

The design perfectly reflects the Starkick philosophy that every player contributes something unique and valuable to the team.

When Jett learned that his design had been selected as the winner, his reaction was priceless. According to his mum, Brooke:

โ€œHe was so happy and cheered with the biggest smile on his face.โ€

She also shared how meaningful the achievement was for him:

โ€œJett loves to draw and is very creative but struggles with fine motor challenges. It was so good to give him this news for his hard work and see him smilingโ€.

The winning guernsey is more than just a football jumperโ€ฆ.it represents creativity, inclusion, perseverance, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to shine.

As Starkick QDJFC celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2027, Jettโ€™s design will stand as a reminder of the programโ€™s motto:

โ€œIf You Want To Play, We Will Find A Way.โ€

Congratulations Jett on your outstanding design and thank you for creating a guernsey that truly captures the heart and spirit of Starkick.

๐Ÿงฆ Sock It To Sarcoma Round โ€“ Round 8 ๐Ÿงฆ

QDJFC is proud to support the Sock It To Sarcoma during Round 8 (19โ€“21 June).

We encourage all players, parents, coaches, volunteers and supporters to wear their brightest, craziest odd socks and consider making a donation to support this important cause.

What is Sarcoma?
Sarcoma is a rare and aggressive cancer that develops in bone and soft tissue. It affects people of all ages and is the second most common cancer in children aged 0โ€“19 years. Sarcoma accounts for around 10% of cancers diagnosed in young people aged 15โ€“25 years. Sadly, the symptoms can often be mistaken for sporting injuries, leading to delayed diagnosis.

By wearing odd socks, we can help raise awareness, start conversations, and support those affected by sarcoma.

Donations can be made on game day to your managers or by clicking below ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿšจ RESPECT THE WHISTLE ๐Ÿšจ

Recent changes to the Code of Conduct mean penalties for umpire abuse have TRIPLED.

At QDJFC, we are committed to providing a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for everyone involved in our game. Swearing, intimidation, harassment or abuse of any kind towards umpires, players, coaches, volunteers or fellow spectators will not be tolerated.

Umpires play a vital role in our game, and without them, there is no football.

We understand that emotions can run high and frustrations may arise during a match. However, we ask all parents and spectators to remember that junior football is about developing young players, fostering a love of the game and creating positive experiences.

If you have concerns or constructive feedback, please direct them to your Team Manager, who can follow the appropriate channels on your behalf. We welcome respectful and constructive feedback, but abuse is never acceptable.

Letโ€™s set the standard for our players by leading through example.

What a fantastic afternoon at QDJFC!

Our players were lucky enough to spend some time with some of the the West Coast Eagles yesterday, kicking things off with a fun filled training session that had everyone smiling, learning and having a great time.

After training, the kids enjoyed meeting the players, collecting signatures and having a chat with their footy heroes.

A huge thank you to the West Coast Eagles for taking the time to visit our club and create some unforgettable memories for our young Bulls!
