WANL Opens Grand Finalist. 🏐
Comets didn’t get the fairytale finish, but at 15, Sienna stepped onto one of WA netball’s biggest stages and competed in an Opens Grand Final.

While most athletes their age are still working towards senior opportunities, these two are already right in the middle of them… learning, competing and proving they belong. 💪

A championship. A Grand Final.

Different sports. Different journeys. Same willingness to step up when the opportunity comes.

💙💚 PROUD. REALLY PROUD. 💚💙

Five teams. One big day at Belmont. And one final hit-out before SSWA High School Cup Eliminations. 🔥🏐

We don’t like losing. At all.
But losing is part of sport.
With four of our five teams competing across the same divisions today, we knew we couldn’t all win.

So today wasn’t just about the scoreboard.

It was about fight. Effort. Grit. Heart.
Playing great netball. With each other. And against.
Working hard when you’re tired.
Standing tall when things don’t go your way.
And fighting right to the final whistle.

And they did. Every single team. 💙💚

You can’t win ’em all.

But you can always fight.
You can always stand tall.
And you can always make us proud.

Today, they did all three. 🌊

We took 14 Div 1 and 18 Div 1 in the medal count.
But today, Living Waters won. 🥹 🫶

Thank you to our incredible coaches, umpires and parents who gave up their Sunday for our athletes.

Beyond proud. Beyond ready.

🏀⛹️‍♂️ Today, our Year 7 and Year 9 Basketball Academy athletes hit the courts at The Hoops Factory for some specialist coaching and development!

A huge thank you to coaches Mark, Eli and Nathan, who put our athletes through a series of challenging skill development sessions and tactical drills designed to build game smarts, decision-making and overall performance. 💪🧠

From sharpening fundamental skills to learning how to read the game under pressure, our students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, focus and a willingness to learn. It was fantastic to see the energy, teamwork and commitment on display throughout the day! 🔥👏

Experiences like these provide invaluable opportunities for our athletes to continue developing both on and off the court, and we are grateful to Hoops Factory and the coaches for sharing their knowledge and expertise. 🙌🏀

🏐🍫 Commonwealth Games Netball Prediction Challenge! 🍫🏐

The Comm Games netty competition is done and dusted… and let’s just say most of our athletes got the top 3 wrong! 🫣😏 A certain couple of the staff however, did not 👏😉🖤🤍🌿

The ranking sheets will be marked, and we’ll be announcing our chocolate prize winners tomorrow! 🍫🏆

The final standings for the 2026 Commonwealth Games Netball were:

New Zealand defeated Jamaica in the gold medal match to reclaim the Commonwealth Games title, while Australia bounced back from their shock semi-final loss to Jamaica to defeat England in the bronze medal playoff.

New Zealand led from start to finish against Jamaica, taking the netball final 56-48 in front of a packed Hydro.
Sixteen years since their last Commonwealth title. Worth the wait. 🥇

🏀🏐 School Sport WA Nationals – Day 1 💚💛

Day 1 done ✅ and what a fantastic start for our Living Waters athletes representing Western Australia! 🖤💛

🏀 Basketball
Unfortunately, streaming issues meant I couldn’t watch CJ and Jae today, but a huge thank you to Imogen for keeping the updates coming!

WA opened the championships with a dominant 109–56 victory over South Australia before taking on New South Wales in an absolute thriller. WA led at quarter time and again at the final break, but NSW finished strongly in the closing minutes to claim an 84–77 win. A quality start against two great opponents. 👏

🏐 Netball
Thankfully, the netball stream was working, so I got to watch Miss Martha in action and she certainly didn’t disappoint! 🥹

WA opened their campaign with a convincing 35–22 win over Tasmania before battling to an edge of your seat exciting 34–34 draw with South Australia. Two composed performances and a fantastic start to the championships.

Another huge thank you also to Soana for sharing photos of all our athletes throughout the day. We love seeing our students representing WA on the national stage! 📸🫶

I’ll admit it… I’ve got a serious case of FOMO! 😂
I wonder if Mr Mitchell would send me to Melbourne for a week? 🤔✈️
