GUARDIAN GIRLS KARATE | Instructor Accreditation

Congratulations to Laura Golding, Janette Ho, Tina Fazari and Mia Vroomans, who have successfully completed the Guardian Girls Karate Australia Instructor Accreditation.

Launched in July 2025, Guardian Girls Karate Australia is part of Guardian Girls International, an initiative founded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Koyamada International Foundation (KIF), and the World Karate Federation (WKF).

The program uses karate as a platform to empower girls, developing confidence, resilience, self-belief and practical skills that contribute to their safety and wellbeing.

Congratulations to Laura, Janette, Tina and Mia on this outstanding achievement, and thank you for your commitment to supporting and empowering the next generation of girls through karate. 👏🥋

KARATE WA LEAGUE - SHOTOKAN OPEN | Top of the Medal Table

What an incredible day of competition for all our Team GMA athletes at the season-ending Karate WA League - Shotokan Open, held on 30 August 2026!

Gold Martial Arts proudly entered 21 athletes, who delivered an outstanding performance, bringing home an impressive 15 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.

This phenomenal result saw Gold Martial Arts finish at the top of the medal table!

A special congratulations to everyone who stepped onto the tatami for their very first competition. It takes courage to put yourself out there, and you should all be proud of the confidence, determination, and sportsmanship you showed throughout the day.

A huge thank you to our outstanding coaching team, Mark Golding, Laura Golding, Lester Maru John, Janette Ho, Tina Fazari, Cameron Quinn, and Mia Vroomans. Your knowledge, encouragement, and countless hours of preparation continue to make such a difference to our athletes.

Our sincere appreciation goes to our wonderful volunteers, Deb Portughes Preston, Andrew Currie and Jason Thomas, for once again giving up their time to support Karate WA events. Your contribution helps make these competitions possible.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Aislinn and Zachary Thomas have been selected to represent Australia at the 12th Commonwealth Karate Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, from 5 - 6 November 2026.
