🐾 World Numbat Day 🐾

The Numbats Runners Club was out in force today celebrating world Numbat day and spreading awareness of our state emblem and small marsupial friend, a strong contingent made an appearance at Kadina Trail parkrun and a few more were spotted at University of Western Australia parkrun and Burswood Peninsula parkrun for a 5km run walk or jog!

We hope our fellow parkrunners learnt a little more about Numbats and their endangered species status as well as checking out and making a donation to our favourite charity Project Numbat who undertake an amazing role in promoting Numbat awareness across our great state!

World Numbat Day is fast approaching and we can’t wait to see our Numbats out and about with their best kit on Saturday!

Today, we look at both our Retro and current Numbats Runners kit 🐾

Our Retro singlet first made its debut in early 2019 at the Busselton Half Marathon, it hung around for a while and knocked off the HBF run for a reason, PTS Trail Relay and even conquered the Gold Coast marathon during its reign. it’s a fan favourite and cherished memory of our foundation members.

Our new kit which included a singlet and the introduction of a Numbats T-shirt has taken the mantle as the fan favourite, with the help of OC Clothing Co as a supplier and designer we produced an amazing shirt that now sits as our most popular across the WA running scene, it made its major debut at Birdy's Backyard Ultra and has traversed many a parkrun and sister event Herdy's Frontyard Ultra 2022 since introduced in 2021.

Thanks to our small cohort of Numbats who came down this morning to Bibra Lake parkrun to launch our brand new OC Clothing Co German Numbat T-shirt! 🐾🐾🐾

A shout out to our wider numbat community who joined us, including a rare sighting of one of our East coast Numbats. It was a great morning out for the numbat colony including a PB for Zanaldo Walsh - perfect preparation before he takes on BERLIN-MARATHON in a few weeks time!

We’re excited for the arrival of our latest edition of the Numbats Runners Club t-shirt courtesy of our friends at this is a special German inspired NRC tee to support one of our Numbats heading to Germany at the end of September! It will be launched at a local next Saturday - 20th August in Perth, so keep your eyes out for an update!

🐾 Merch Update 🐾

We’ve gone back to the drawing board to make sure our Oktoberfest shirts align with our traditional Numbat colours! Retro gold stripes are gone, Numbat brown is back!

We’ll be taking orders up to COB Wed 1 June 2022

The Numbats are heading to Europe to take on the Berlin Marathon 🇩🇪

To support our travelling Numbats we’re doing another t-shirt run with our friends at OC Clothing Co inspired by Oktoberfest and a numbat runners love of beer! 🍻

Ever wondered how our Numbats stay in peak physical condition? We make them run the Momentum Obstacle Course Race from time to time to ensure it’s not just their legs that are working! 🐾🐾🐾
