Try Sailing with Tackers

Try sailing with Tackers, our introductory sailing course for children aged 7-12. The course aims to deliver a fun on-water experience for kids to try the sport of sailing at an affordable entry price. The course is run by Australian Sailing-accredited instructors and incorporates games, adventures, and group training drills to develop fundamental skills in a safe environment.

There isn’t a court, pitch, gymnasium, or an oval like other sports, instead, you have the beautiful Swan River to explore.

We offer a special price of $340 during school terms and during the school holidays.

Less than 50 days to go before the start of the Geraldton Ocean Classic! SoPYC is proud to partner with Geraldton Yacht Club to support WA's ocean racing scene along with the event being part Ocean Racing WAs series.

Entries are now open for this iconic destination event, now in its 54th edition. Participation is essential for ORWA teams looking to win the upcoming season's Blue Water series!

This Cat 2 race serves as the perfect way to gear up for a Sydney Hobart, and is part of the approved qualifying races for skippers and crews.

Places still available for this weekend’s Learn to Sail Keelboat Course

The Adult Learn to Sail Keelboats course is our introductory sailing program for adults and follows the Australian Sailing syllabus for Start Crewing and Helming.
The course provides a fun and supportive introduction to sailing, covering the fundamental skills required to crew and helm a keelboat with confidence.

A chilly end to the winter Keelboat sailing, but still 21 brave boats graced the water for the final The Good Grocer Canning Bridge IGA Frostbite Series race.

Thanks to Chef Damo, the winter warming soup always goes down a treat after a fresh afternoon on water.
