๐ฅ TEAM KANO AT THE 2026 AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL JUDO CHAMPIONSHIPS ๐ฆ๐บ
Now that almost everyone is home and the dust has settled, we can look back on a fantastic weekend at the 2026 Australian National Judo Championships on the Gold Coast.
We travelled with a small team this year, but once again our athletes showed that dedication, hard work and team spirit count for a lot. Every competitor gave their best on the mat and supported one another through the wins, losses and everything in between.

Competed in the Junior and Senior Menโs -66kg division, finishing with an even mix of wins and losses. More importantly, he gained valuable experience at the highest level of national competition.
A special mention also goes to Celeste and Carlo, who were involved in official capacities throughout the championships as an IJF referee and guest Supervisor.
We are incredibly proud of every member of our team. Medals are always nice, but what stood out most was the way our athletes and parents conducted themselves on and off the mat. They represented Kano Judo Schools with respect, determination and sportsmanship throughout the weekend.
Thank you to the JudoWA coaching staff for their support, and to Judo Australia, the referees, officials and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the championships possible.
Congratulations to all our athletes. Enjoy the moment, then itโs back to training for the next challenge.
