It is with great sadness that Volleyball WA acknowledges the passing of Rachael Williams, a valued member of our WA State Sitting Volleyball Team and the Australian Sitting Volleyball community.

Rachael will be remembered for her determination, kindness, and passion for making volleyball a sport for all. Her impact on teammates and the wider volleyball family will never be forgotten.

The Perth Steel teams were honoured to pay tribute to Rachael over the weekend at Round 1 of the Australian Volleyball Super League in Melbourne, with support from Rachael's friends and teammates who were in the stands.

Our heartfelt condolences are with Rachael’s family, friends, and teammates during this difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Rachael. You will always be part of our Volleyball WA family. 💛

In this video, Alex from Volleyball WA shares how their organisation has embraced the True Sport Mental Health and Wellbeing Initiative and the positive impact it's had across their community.
