Cats out of the bag!! 😜😜
Super excited to get behind the wheel of this awesome piece of machinery. So much history in this car, it’s special to be able to have it sitting in our garage!

Following on from a previous post, here we have Tayla Heath in the 1982 Reynard F/Ford that arrived in Tassie last week. The HRRCT are well aware of how quick and clean Tayla was in her Vee, and are looking forward to her having a run at Baskerville Historics.

As requested, we decided to post a snippet of the action from the weekend. Ride along in the Sherwell silos, BeeCee Formula Vee, as I go from 4th to 1st in three laps!
The car feels like an absolute dream to drive, my head engineer (Dad), has spent countless hours working on the red machine, and I can't thank him enough.
Finally, a massive thank you to all my supporters and well-wishers, I'm very grateful for all the support that has been thrown my way.

TSS ROUND 3 BASKERVILLE RACEWAY
After a big weekend of racing, the crew and I are super happy to come home with a hard earned 2nd place‼️🏁

A big Thanks must go to my family, particularly my dad, for all the time and effort that’s been put into my car! I have so much confidence and faith in the setup, I just need to make some more driving improvements to further our racing results!

Another big thank you to all the people that have supported my racing, and gotten us to where we are today. My sponsors, Sherwell Silos Tas, Mal & Kerry Lee, Shelly and Dave + the girls QLD. Thank you to Noel Clarke and Stephen Byers for the great Engine.

I must mention how much of a privilege it is for me to race against Dion Wyllie. I have always looked up to Dion, previously being a member of the TonyKart Wyllie Tiles team. And Bevon’s kind words of encouragement have never failed to make me smile. I’m sure Mrs Wyllie is super proud watching over the family. Congratulations to the Wyllie crew. It was a pity that wade wasn’t there to add some fun into the mix.

It is important to highlight how great the officials and organisers are. Without the volunteers, we wouldn’t be racing. We are all so appreciative of all the stress, hard work and dedication that goes into running a race meeting. A massive thanks to the grid guys, who eased my nerves with some laughs before each race. Thankyou for the support, you guys are legends!!

Finally, to wrap things up, this podium means so much to me. I can’t emphasise how much I appreciate all the support. It is overwhelming to know how many people support my racing, I’m a very grateful girl.
Like many of my other achievements, I’d like to dedicate this podium to my biggest supporter, my pop. Pop was (and still is) very important in my life. I miss him a lot, and hope I’m doing him proud. I’m sure he’s smiling at us from heaven!

TSS RND 2 RACE REPORT‼️

After a big weekend of racing, the team and I are extremely happy and very exhausted!
On Saturday, we made our first track appearance since November 2017! I had to re-familiarize myself with the Red Sherwell Silos racing machine (slightly different to my daily Kia Cerato that I have been driving i.e. I couldn’t find my gear stick...it was on the wrong side).
The team also faced some braking dramas, but some feverish work in the pits soon had us back out and running by the end of the day.🏎

Sunday morning, I achieved my best qualifying position to date, placing the red rocket on the front row. After some amazing battles with Dion Wyllie and Wade Mclean, the team and I finished a very close 4th. These seasoned professionals made me feel very comfortable going three wide around the sweeping corners at Symmons plains, also providing the keen on lookers with an exciting spectacle. 💯

Thank you to everyone that has shown support towards my racing thus far, my family and I are very appreciative.

Special thanks to Malcom & Kerry Lee, Sherwell Silos, Noel Clark & Stephen Byers, Shelly + Dave & the girls, Charles singleton, Josh Burdon, Angryman photography, Kurtis Love, Stridey and Barry Oliver for the amazing commentary and their kind words of encouragement. Thanks Greg for extracting me from the gravel trap on Saturday.... And a massive shout out to the amazing officials that stand at their posts all day, never failing to give the drivers a wave on the cool down laps. Without them, racing wouldn’t be possible. Today we raced the last round of the Tasmanian state series! This meeting also marked the date of my first Formula Vee win, 1 year ago!

It was so great to win the Dick Crawford memorial race in 2016, and finish a close 2nd in the race this year! (6 hundredths of a second to be exact)

Big thank you goes out to my family, Shelly and Dave, Josh Burdon and everyone else that made this weekend so enjoyable.

Time for a holiday!!🏁❤️
